1:33:05 Murray Walker references in 2024, my word. All I remember from him was his inability to ever end a sentence (he instead continued on in increasing sets of parentheses (without ever circling back around to the original point (which was usually lost within moments anyway (due to...
No surprise David paused after the first Daisy picture 😏(probably to message Spacegrass for high res versions of them 🤣). Another excellent map by Spacegrass. Detailing is just bob on and played very well. Shame Spacegrass had to change the music though. The old music really suited the map :(
David! Thank you so much for playing my second map. I know this year’s RAMP was insane and at this point, you probably see cacos and super shotguns in your sleep every night. Thanks for putting yourself through this gauntlet every year, for your kind words and for giving mappers the opportunity to be part of not only this amazing project, but your amazing community as well. Who knows what the future holds but if I ever do get my big break, I’ll drop you a message. Could always use a guitar shredding, code wizard bunny on my side. Don’t forget, you’re a member of Shadowwizardbunnygang too 🐰
I think with cases like the double-subtracting EXP or certain custom bindings suddenly becoming unbound it might be related to saving, loading, and deaths. I think my own submissions for this year fail to re-bind if either of the maps are reloaded mid-level at any time, making them unwinnable. Which is a bit unfortunate, because otherwise I felt very proud of what I managed to cobble together during the lucid moments of the two weeks I spent trying to put something together. But I think if I ever go back and do a compilation of the more standalone-ish type things I made, unless I want to stay exclusive to GZDoom I might have to figure out another way of implementing the extra actions. Or just full on switch to Godot or something, but I think once I'm at the point of switching entirely out of the Doom modding sphere, then I'm probably just gonna jump genres entirely.
From a builder perspective, how do you do a intermission screen on map start? Also these blood pools and streaks on the floor? The moving train car? The swinging open doors? I would appreciate a full "how to" video on the build process with some of the features of this wad. . You dont find a lot of detail about doing some things, just bits and pieces..
I like the map, but I could do without the story. Either that or shorten it. Far too much reading going on, which is kind of an anti-Doom mechanic, if you ask me.
I was like, "okay, one map of this set then bed"... I really should not attempt that on a 2:15 video that starts with a Spacegrass map.

I'm only 30mins in but man, Outpost Zero is an amazing map!
OK, the JL map was great too! Cool story!
Outpost Zero is 💯Excellent!
SpaceGrass has a whole ass webcomic and is working on a TCM so that's neat
I really like arena maps like Sole Survivor. It makes me think of old arcade games, in a good way.
