Thank you so much for this helpful video! I have exceeded the number of photos (it says 37, the film has 36) but it is not rewinding automatically. Can i just manually rewind? Thank you!
thanks. apologies, didnt show it clearly on that part. you can download the manual here. The date function is on page 30 and 31. Hope it helps. :) shop.8storeytree.com/blogs/manuals/olympus-superzoom-70
When I load my film in, the LCD screen shows a zero rather than a 1 or E. Any ideas what the problem may be? The shutter won't open and the lens won't expand either, but the batteries are fresh.
I just got the Olympus zoom 2000 - this may sound silly but is it battery operated? How does it charge? When I toggle it on the lens doesn’t move, but I don’t have film in it yet
they are similiar, probably renamed due to marketing in different parts of the world at that time. though i know some cameras only have panorama mode available in japan models. not too certain on this one.
DLX variants of Olympus cameras usually has added function. i believe it's the date function for this '∞Zoom 2000'. ours in the video, is the japanese variant (SuperZoom 70), which has panorama function as well. But they all pretty much works the same minus the added functions.
help haha i loaded a fujicolor c200 into it the same way and then it made some loud noises into direction one, then some loud noises into direction two and then i turned the camera on and it said E. so i opened up the camera and saw that the film looked like it has been used already... how do i get my unused film back?? ^^
not too sure on the camera issue, seems like it assume that's the roll is finished and initiated the rewind. may be the film roll was somehow stuck or something. To retrieve the film, u'd need a film retriever like ruclips.net/video/_kR3UnHL0LM/видео.html . There are other alternate ways to retrieve the film, though would recommend visiting a film developing shop and ask for assistance.
@@krreach think it's either not loaded properly or that something is faulty, preventing it from loading properly. U can check if your film inserted has been advanced / moved.
I've just bought a second-hand version of this camera but what I've never understood: why are the focal edges in the see-through lens (I defo do not know the terminology for this haha) not center-alligned but rather allgined at the right-bottom corner? What bits of this see-through lens determine what my photo will eventually look like?
that inner frames are for close-up corrections due to parallel error. you can check on the manual here. :) shop.8storeytree.com/blogs/manuals/olympus-superzoom-70

U can actually get more than 36 shots if loaded properly. Just continue shooting,. Probably 38-39, the rewind will start.
Lovely camera

Hi! Thank you for your video! I would like to ask, how to change the date in the camera? Thank you
thanks. apologies, didnt show it clearly on that part. you can download the manual here. The date function is on page 30 and 31. Hope it helps. :) shop.8storeytree.com/blogs/manuals/olympus-superzoom-70

Thanks for the video! May I ask how to off the date altogether? I tried setting to current date but only go up to ‘13
Set the date to show - -. - -. - -. Something like that. That's off. 😁
Thank you!!
glad it helped.
So, the button “SET” does not work for any function? I got this camera this week, I cannot find out what “set” means.
it's to set the timing and/or date.
I just got the Olympus zoom 2000 - this may sound silly but is it battery operated? How does it charge? When I toggle it on the lens doesn’t move, but I don’t have film in it yet
the camera uses 1x CR123A or 2x AA batteries.
Is the timer fixed or does it have options for longer time? And can I set the date to nothing because I dont like it to have a stamp
__/__/____ is blank.
Thanks ! My ligths don’t work… does it work? Can i repair ? :(
there may be many reason why it doesnt work. do let a camera repair man assess the camera .
can i remove the battery even if it still has film inside? or should i finish the roll first before removing the battery?
As in to replace the battery, that's fine.
any idea why the viewfinder has framing lines to the corner?
think u mean the closeup correction lines. u can read more in the manual here. shop.8storeytree.com/blogs/manuals/olympus-superzoom-70 🙏
Hi! Thanks for the video. Whats the difference between the superzoom 70, superzoom panorama 70, and the zoom 2000?
they are similiar, probably renamed due to marketing in different parts of the world at that time. though i know some cameras only have panorama mode available in japan models. not too certain on this one.
@@8storeytree thanks!! :)
I don't understand much about cameras, but I have one of this at home and would like to know if I can use a 35 mm film
Yep this camera uses the 35mm films.
Hi! Would you mind telling me the film reference I should buy for this camera? Please
Any 35mm film will fit the camera. Probably good to start with 400 negatives.
Thanks for the video! I got the 2000 DLX version (guess it means deluxe?). Does it work the same? Shoots 35mm?

Hi, is kodak colorplus 200 compatible with this camera?
Camera fits all 35mm films. Kodak colorplus 200 only comes in 35mm format (from what we know at this point of time), so yeh. 😁
i have the camera and it keeps flashing tbe E on the right bottom side
means you don't have film inside
My camera keeps flashing E where it should say 1. What’s going on with it?
As in after loaded in the film?
@@8storeytree yes

My viewfinder won’t open when turned on but it has no film. Does it need film to open or is something else wrong?
The lens shd move and open if it's turned on.
what type of battery do I get for this camera ?
manual here if u need. shop.8storeytree.com/blogs/manuals/olympus-superzoom-70
Two AAs
What does the Set do btw?
to change and set the dates.
