@@red1banez Not arm pronation. Smash is 30% wrist, 40% shoulder rotation, 10% shoulder flexion, only about %15-10% forearm pronation. Look up smash study by Mark King.
The reason why he seems to be hanging in the air is because he gets his jump timing exactly right to be able smash at the highest point and on the way down. Other players get their timing a tiny fraction off.
I think he tucked in his leg behind his buttock is the reason behind his hang time. It's the same technique used by volleyball player even Cristiano Ronaldo using this technique.

The secret that people feel Goh stays in the air for a long time when he smashes is that he made his body stable (fixed) when jumping up, this helps to make people feel he's staying in the air for a long time even when he doesn't jump very high. Also, this kind of grip technique helps to deliver more power to the shuttle when smashing. If you want to improve your smash I recommend this technique. Unfortunately, I personally don't know how to do that
