Love mid-strolling in these colder temps.
Here’s something else to try with a spinning rod: Stick your index finger out and let the line barely graze your finger as you reel slowly. This imparts some really unique action and drives the fish crazy. Cheers!

I like wiggling my finger on the line on a dead stick bait to impart very subtle action. I like where your mind is at

A solid tip rod is really good for this technique, surprised you didn’t list the power nose. I believe US panfish anglers have been doing this for a long time. They call it twitching I think.

That is what it is called, I do it with very small baits, and it will catch everything. I have caught small striper, panfish, trout, and bass all in the same trip!

Some awesome info in this video!
I'm glad Megabass did the craftsman's pride line. The stinger tip Hedgehog has been so money for strolling.

The 6'10 UL/M Poison adrena is another great option. I originally bought it for neds, but was super surprised by it. It doesn't have that stinger tip, but the Ultra light extra fast tip practically feels the same as having a stinger tip. The rod has good power too.

My go to bfs setup at the moment is a Conquest BFS paired with a GLoomis Bronzeback SMR753C-JB. Fighting 4-5lb largemouths is a blast on it.

I used the Megabass X10 Medusa last fall and it did a really good job as well. I was mostly doing hover strolling with it as the water was still warm at the time and fish were shallow. Got taken out of the game mid October by a car accident, but I’m ready to get back out in my kayak to do some mid strolling just as soon as the weather isn’t quite so crazy.

Because I hate the feel of line pulling off my finger with a spinning setup. I have since I was a kid. Casting setups are dope.

Does the Steez AGS Sencor have the same tip snapping issue? I have an NRX+ 853 and a Megabass x-bites, which i have been comparing. I was thinking of picking up the AGS Sencor to compar with both these rods. I use them for small jigs, and have been doing a version of this technique while dragging on the bottom.
