The best of the best of black and white comedy. This show was priceless. I was in love with Yvonne de Carlo in her on screen make-up and the white streak in her hair ... no one could match her.
I never saw The Munsters when it ran in the 1960s, but I sure am glad to see the show now. The writing is so clever and funny, along with the excellent portrayals that I can’t stop laughing.
Watch quickly because ScrewRUclips drops these things in a heartbeat!!! I guess predominantly it's copyright laws Etc but it's also rather discriminatory
Had a Crush on Marilyn Munster in 1964.........I was 8 years old........I'm 65 Years old an still have a Crush on Marilyn Munster.......2021.........lol......
I saw the Munsters when new. Herman was really sweet, so I can't understand why he always wanted to be rid of Marilyn. She was beautiful, kind, and smart, and never caused trouble. They acted like she was ugly and a freak. I don't think grandpa thought that way about Marilyn as much. I always wondered why Marilyn was pretty when she was the daughter of Lily's sister. And what happened to her parents?
To them she was not normal because she wasn't a monster like them! I don't know what happened to her parents or how she turned out pretty coming from a family like that.
It was one of the running gags of the show. The Munsters tended to like dark and ugly things, their run down house, monsters and such. A normal and beautiful girl like Marilyn was treated as the "ugly duckling" as a reverse joke of sorts. Most the time they weren't mean about it and it was generally funny of every one else's reaction to Marilyn vs her own views. As for Hermans desire to get rid of her, well she's kind of old for the 1960's to still be living at home. A girl her age would likely to be married or at least in a serious relationship by then given I think she's in her 20's. Also going back to the joke about her being the "plain one" there is some fear she'd end up an old maid in their eyes as her best years are wasted.
As many times I've seen this episode I've never noticed until now that when Granpa is talking to the officers, he refers to Marilyn as his niece❗ Later on Marilyn correctly refers to Granpa as her grandfather.
If given a third season, likely would have seen Maralyn married but a rule of sitcom, though this rule didn't really come to light until the 80s, that characters either start married or never get married (well, maybe the last three episodes). That is a good way to "jump the shark".
You. missed a good show back in. 1960 when the shows. kept you on the edge of your seat. laughing all through the show never knowing what to expect next .Those were the good old shows, not the. shows you see today that don't make any sense. The good. shows they would take off the air,the bad ones they would leave on the air
Several times during the series, various characters refer to Herman being green, but yet in every color image, his makeup is blue-ish. Did the makeup and script departments not know what the other was doing?
"Its one of them college fraternity initiations!" 🤣 Ah YES, back when fraternities could actually DO those kinds of things and no one said anything. Today, EVERYTHING is considered 'hazing' and you can't do anything. MAN do I feel blessed to have pledged MY college fraternity back when you could still do these stunts. If I had to go though it today, I don't think I'd even bother pledging.
Yep I understand, u and me were before everybody had camera phones.....I would love an episode where grandpa Munster would say it's the worst invention ever and turn all those phones into frogs🤮it was said a few times in the show he's been around awhile and knows a few things
@@resetsetmefree478 Yes, there is truth in what you say. I was an alumni advisor in my fraternity several years ago and these guys always wanted to take pictures with their phones during events with just the brothers/pledges of things which might put them in a compromising position. I was constantly lecturing them NOT to do it.

the humor & ever so light social commentary are just perfect! And Marilyn...what a doll!!
And Yvonne De Carlo still smoking hot.
@@lorenzomagazzeni5425 yeah, that's all that matters

@@butchieblock9118 i agree
I didn't either but I wasn't born until 87. But I watched the re runs in the 90s always loved this show. More than the addams family.
Oh I did it was my 2nd favourite show.. Bewitched 1st Munsters 2nd
Marilyn family really does support and love her even though she is extremely disfigured 😂
Grandpa bought tickets to the policemen’s ball at the 53rd precinct. Grandpa knows an Officer Schnauzer, and it’s a show of support and solidarity.
I love that black bridal gown.
So cute and funny watching mr frog jump around in there. Kinda feel bad for him though! :)
Isn't that Mr. Whipple(one of the cops) from the "please don't squeeze the charmin" commercials?
This was my favorite episode of the series.
Lilly doesn't walk, she sachets.
*sashays
That she does!
Sha says.
Swish!
Love this show. It was the best!!

Police: so he ran away? Lily: jumped is more like it 😂🤣
Thank you!
Thank you so much! I wait for these!
Wonderful !💕
I'd have married Pat Priest in a heartbeat!!
You and me both!
@@abhayajoodha3113 I'll take Yvonne

Yvonne DeCarlo was very articulate and classy... even as a Munster!

Did grandpa call Marilyn his niece? I thought she was his granddaughter.
I noticed that too. She was his granddaughter.
I think he is her great uncle.
Marilyn's mother is Lily's sister.
Doesn't that mean he's Marilyn's grandfather?
@@iycrm4583 If Marilyn was Lily's sisters child, I wonder what Lily's sister look's like.
We will always "give away" our true love decisions and solve all misunderstandings. Stay safe everyone!
Marilyn is so gorgeous.

Best humor. Best goth styles . Dave vanian and siouxsie Sioux in the same tv show.
Such a great innocuous sitcom!! Too bad about those copyright laws because I know they are short-lived on screwyoutube.....
This is the official authorised uploader I believe
For as nice as Herman appears to be he makes on many occasions a lot of backhanded comments about Marilyn that are not nice at all 😁
Yeah he sure does
It’s one of the only things I didn’t like about the show.
@grace siegel Agreed I kinda felt sorry for her knowing she so beautiful 😍 Lol
I always thought she had lipstick and a touch of blush
im happy fou you dear now that we have unloaded you

"Fine intelligent officers"
If you only could find them now, and slim too.
Is it Butch Patrick uploading these?
NANI?!?
No. lol. I’m not sure who’s behind the munsters channel but I’m pretty sure it ain’t him. lol
Almost looks presentable? She looks a lot better than that!
Anyone know where we can watch a full serie without cutting in the middle of one film and end up starting in another half of another one...???😎
Most would of for sure.
That was cool
I wish Marilyn was my sister at least she wouldn't marry a guy who treated her brother like garbage and made her brother feel worthless
First time I didn’t like the ending well can’t win them all
I hope they took the frog out soon after they did the scene!
goth like dress
Will you stop all the lousy ads please? That is why I gave thumb down.
