- gang leader in Haiti has warned that the chaos engulfing the capital Port-au-Prince will lead to civil war and "genocide" unless Prime Minister Ariel Henry steps down. Haiti's capital is largely controlled by gangs, headed by a former elite police officer known as "Barbecue", considered one of Haiti's most powerful gang leaders,....and its prime minister is locked out of his country and faces pressure to resign.

Do not underestimate Kenya. While in the British Empire the Kenya troops fought in both World Wars, they had Mau-Mau uprising against British for 40 years and lately they fight against Islamic State and Somalia Islamic Courts.
The Kenyan police and military today are the heirs of the collaborators who fought for the British, not of the Freedom Fighters (so called Mau Mau) who fought against them. Big difference. They are there to defend an oppressive and corruot regime against the people who may want to fight for their rights.

Kenyan police are neither trained nor equipped to deal with the failed state which is Haiti today. What is needed is an international peace building UN mission led by French speaking Africans with a mandate to restore order. I have served on UN Peacekeeping missions in Timor Lesfe and rhe DRC when those countries were recovering from terrible armed conflicts worse than anything Haiti has ever seen, and these missions ( UNTAET and MONUC) worked when they had qualified local leadership to work with until they could hold elections. I know MINUSTAH was not a success, so lessons must be learned from MINUSTAH’s mistakes. However, the current Haitian government was not elected, and will have to accept international UNDPO authority if the mission is to succeed.

Do you believe they really love Haiti? No. Apart from Haiti is mineral rich, which alot of us don't know about. Haiti has one of the rarest metals on earth. This metal is used to make the heat shields used in space ships and military fighter jets. Who do you think wants it and will do everything to keep it?
Allow the people to vote in thier leader. then the people will welcome the partnership of a short term foreign force, which will respect the wishes of the Haitian people.

I am left wondering how the foreign armed intervention even intends on arriving and proceeding with their mission. The gangs want to prevent Ariel Henry from returning, so they are attacking and/or occupying transportation infrastructure like the airport.
How are the non-Hatians able to begin without an infiltration or invasion of Hatian soil? This will be seen and spun as a hostile act, no matter if the foreigners wear police or army uniforms (and I think regardless of their skin colour).

There has to be a government in place for these forces to come. Currently there isn't 1 so we just have to wait and see

Police work inside the borders of their country. That's what they are for. If you remove police, the country is left without this resource. Also, what about training, preparation etc Less than 3000, from different countries would have to coordinate. They wouldn't be effective.

Haiti needs an urgent international intervention. However, any contingent deployed there should not have linguistic challenges. Kenyan police may not be eligible because of this.
