I pulled for Ela in Arknights and it was rough not gonna lie, i'm completely out of currency now.

after 140 pulls on reed's banner, 150 on shu's, 80 on Arturia's, 40 on Ray's (quit there), 80 on Degenbrecher, 180 on Typhon, I'm very glad it only took 60 to get a copy of Ela, for me.
I found a "Pulls Until" calculator spreadsheet that has been invaluable for planning this stuff out in advance. Put in a date, put in how much you currently have, and select which events you'll participate in up until that date and it'll tell you exactly how many pulls you should have assuming you're doing the dailies/annihilations/certificate shopping. I know how many pulls I can spare for banners where I just really want the character without putting myself in a situation where I might not get one of the upcoming must-haves.
I don't buy a lot of skins but Ela's has a cat. So that's not even a choice.
What I really like in Arknights is that dupes give only slight buffs which can be easily ignored compared to other gachas. I.E. NIKKE requires dupes to increase level cap, some characters in Genshin are literally unplayable until C1 etc.

the sad thing is ela pot 3 increases her mine capacity by like 25-33% depending on the skill
its a massive increase to her fragile/stun potential

Only some operator with dupes become very good like bagpipe the rest are only good on CC because of DP gen tags

If you weren't actively going for pots, Then paitence for the next free 10 would've softened the resource blow slightly.
I will say that DP reduction does make a difference in getting your set up established that much faster, along with anything affecting cost/less dp generation from certain modes making it less harsh.
Always nice to hear HK ost now and again from content creators as well. Love the game dearly.
True i just hate dupes in every gacha, and you definitely do not need them for arknights at least imo.

@@Jarediann Oh, of course not. A lot of content can be beaten with lower rarity ops. More potentials is just a luxury that can make a slight or massive difference in certain instances. Only time I'd say it would mean a lot would be something like CC and Integrated strategies, As every stat can count there.
Surely I'll live to see SS release, right? Jokes aside, I've exercised patience so I'm fine with it taking as long as it needs to, Albeit any community updates would be appreciated more frequently.
My first 6 stat pull on this banner was Ebenholz, had me sweating.
My only 6* besides Ela from hard pity was Saileach, but the 5* I got were even more devastating.
At least I got everything I needed before running out of pulls.

I think Iana was my favorite character in the story, with Ela a good second. I love Iana’s design the most out of the 4 (I like white-haired, short-haired girls), and I she (or technically her mirage, but basically her) had an awesome scene in the story. Found it both thrilling and comedic at the same time, which was a strange feeling.

this banner was incredibly lucky for me, before doing the free multi, i decided to do a single, i got ela, after that i pulled a bit for the 5* because i like both iana and doc, spent about 3 multis, so i can save more until wisadel

Before ela at 120 pulls I got 3 6*. Two times weedy and once carmelian. That was sad seeing 6* before 120 and getting hit by a truck with carmelian
I got the greatest luck ever on this banner, Ela with only 20 pulls, i seriously almost got a heart attack, i'm currently saving for some characters, and the fact i only used 10 pulls saved me from being poor again

My pulling session for this end the first RS6 Collab are night and day. First when ash came out I had to go to pity cause I got 5 6-stars and lost every single 50/50 and had to tap in my originium prime savings, but this time I got Ela in the free 10 pull, altho I didn't get any 5 star limited, so I hope I get them in the next 10 free, otherwise il have to think if I want to spend my savings for them
I pulled Ela 5 pulls before guaranteed which sucks cause now I really have to save up for Walter

@@Jarediann don't worry the is a similar amount of people that had to go to 120 and never say it because it just sucks people think everyone just get lucky instead of them but like the only people who want to say "I got in one pull or my first 10 pull" compare to say "hey i got her in 120 how happy i am -_-" that's way it looks like so many people are lucky nah is just that's the only people talking and taking screenshots

I just spent 80 pulls on the recent reed banner and hit her as the first 6 star on this banner then hit 2 more off banner 6 stars and am now at 110 pulls waiting for the daily login 10 pull 🤡
I had to go to fucking 120 to get ela I'm so pissed today because the game randomly decided I should get saga and then a viviana pot first like come on I wanted to have some pulls left
Didn’t like this event story as much as Originium Dust (rerunning next), but it was still pretty good (and surprisingly had some good comedic scenarios and moments within).
I finally got a good Collab banner.
Ash took 110, which pissed me off cause at that point it would have been better to off-rate.
Yato was full 120. Hard pity, nothing else to say, least I got Pot 6 Noir.
Got both Doc and Iana in the free multi, then Ela in the second multi.

In my free 10 pull, i get Doc and Lana in my pull. I fear for my luck but i dont want to continue pulled since i dont have a lot orundum, only have below 70 to pulled left so im gonna save up for the next banner. Not gonna test my luck

I now have a pot 2 "meta" ela.....
Overall, it was a good/efficient hall. Although, I have never been so demoralized while pulling; hunting for a 5* one single pull at a time.

Like i only play fgo because of my brother but i always get the banner character despite the game being notorious with its gatcha (for those who play u know what i mean)
Where as games like arknights where i do put time and effort in its always when i least expect it 🫠

Bruh it only took me 20 pulls (including the free 10 pull) to get Ela and all of the other characters, I can feel your pain. Hopefully Ash banner goes better for you so you don't have to lose your sanity again 🙃
i had to pick ela or walter banner and i decided to do a little for r6s since its collab, i did 30, probably the worse pulls of my life, i didn't get ela, i didn't even get any of the r6s 5 stars, i instead got 2 5 stars and 1 dupe flametail...

I spent 70 on this banner and got her and a fartooth, woo. Will say though... you can't do the whole not caring about dupes thing lol. I don't aim for dupes, but I don't let dupes hurt me either lolol.
Frankly though, the dp downs on potentials have been AMAZING for my squad over time.
when you're saving like 12 dp a start, it's not that small xD.
dupes hurt me cuz i just don't care for them. I want a new character or the character im going for, dupes are never what im aiming for.

And then I had to pull 40 times more just to get Doc and Iana .-. (I wanted them because they are limited (and Iana is kinda cool))
