Cool equipment, over-priced, IMO. Creative do-it-yourself folks can likely put together a suitable/flexible system. I prefer constant light sources to flash (focus ease and light modeling preview), Jens. Nice footage, but the misting was overdone, IMO - less is more. TBH, for value and versatility I prefer Lume-Cube products. Ever try them? Might make for a few good vids. Cheers!
Its really cool, but the price is huge... true. I have not used the cubes, but those could be a powerful cheaper alternative, maybe thid could be a topic for a future video, who knows;)
I paid more than half a grand for a set of adaptalux ,some of the lights flickers all the time or go off suddenly. Very unreliable system I contact customer service they said try cleaning the contacts or connections . Did this but it remained the same from day one after receiving the item. Maybe I got a bad apple but wouldn’t recommend to buy ,as it’s quite expensive.
I have the system but have been very disappointed with the build quality and reliability. Parts just fall apart. Much too expensive for such low quality workmanship.
@@anotherperspective3076 Magmets fall out and get lost both on lighting arms and diffusers. Support was good about replacing but kept happening with different parts and I finally just gave up on using it. I also found the pod to be pretty unstable and hard to balance. Of course your tripod looks bigger than mine so I can't really fault Adaptalux for that. The plastic mechanism for aattaching the pod to a camera shoe is very weak. Again all in all I find the build quality poor. I love the concept of the lights. I wind up using lume cubes with filters most of the time now if I use continuous light. Most of the time though I just use flash and have never tried Adaptalux flash.

Epic shot of the flower through the droplets using continous light and epic music.
Thank you mate
Jens, the flower shots are STUNNING!
Thank you Ben!:)
Great one, Jens. Those flower shots look amazing. Adaptalux even has those UV arms. They look pretty tempting too!
Thank you, yes i need try them;)
Very creative use of a great lighting system. Thanks for the information and inspiration.

crazy expensive though. For just a pretty basic kit I'd expect to pay $1k

Parts Fall apart? Are the Magnets not strong enough? Did you contact Support?
