Saw him (and met him afterwards) at Wolverhampton. It felt as if this would be the end, but right from hearing the first bars of Requiem on John Peel's show to me and my two sons being at Royal Albert Hall, I don't feel they ever let me down. An honour to speak to him, to ask him about the 'Futureshock' track that never made it (couple of revelations there that explained why - he told me not to tell anyone about the second one before unleashing that laugh of his). Thanks for giving me focus, bringing out the warrior in me. Honour the Fire.
Spoke with Jaz after the talk in London, he told me he is going to carry on but not yet, because the guitarist he wants is currently in prison, I asked if he was serious and he said yes, no smile or laugh just . Yes . So make of that what you will
IT'S A METAPHOR. They're in a band, and they can't quit the band right now. Could be anyone. OK, not anyone. They'd have to be well versed in R/C, OTO, GD, alchemy, ... I can think of a couple, but I'm not sure they'd fit. Robert Smith, Danny Ash, Buzz McCoy...???
Does anyone know if the killing joke are over it's hard to imagine without geordie. Big love goes out to jaz Coleman our hero and light and strength may the goddess shield and sustain him,
Like you I don't see a long term future but maybe they use Geordie's recorded stuff to make a final album and do one last tour with a guest guitarist to promote it?
Only person from my generation I see fit to respect/thorough -ly go through Geordie´s legacy and actually revitalize Killing Joke (the way Martin Arkins did in the past ) is Justin K. Broadrick. Now that is a KJ I would pay to see !
@@HeavyHydrogen Justin K. Broadrick should be all for it. You hear him play a note on a record you know who that is : Scorn ;God ;Painkiller etc ... .Can´t see anybody else filling those shoes. Then again ,wasn´t expecting Ben Calvert to fill in for such iconic drummers as Big Paul or/and Martin Atkins and look at them performances circa 2004.
@waskerbasket9601: Did you watch the video? Jaz is well known for believing complete and utter BS. He’s a brilliant musician, but it’s best not to take his views on consciousness, religion, ancient Egypt, magick, etc too seriously.
The first band I saw live was Foo Fighters. I was 16yo. I'm 42 now. He's was great up until recently. Sticking his nose into politics. Lost so much respect for him unfortunately. TRUMP 2024. I'm British but c'mon.
I did ask him about his insatiable lust for consuming news about stuff, coupled with him not liking the internet. He said he does have to use it because he is a 'news junkie'.

He's got the second best laugh after Sid James.

Wow, if that's true that will be really big boots to fill.
Wait, what??? Are you talking about Killing Joke? Who's this guy in prison and when approximately is he going to be free?

Thankyou for posting ❤
Honour the fire ❤️🔥
Pleasure, thank you for watching.
Killing Joke carrying on without Geordie is like Motorhead carrying on without Lemmy.
Think l'd rather they call it a day too but equally The Stranglers are still doing the biz with one original member.
@@austinscrapbookchannel You should say Stranglers couldn't do dick without Hugh.

Cannot happen sadly 😢geordie irreplaceable Columbia gazz
@garygrimmett7945 Jaz said he needed time and said he'll look at the situation when the time is right (to paraphrase).
If Jaz is going to do Killing Joke anymore, I don't think it will be with Youth and Big Paul either and not for a couple of years at least.
I wish I'd known about this tour. Viva Jaz!
He was good value for money and when l arrived to queue the four people already there said he popped out to say "Hello" and that l'd just missed him.

Be interesting to see if anything does happen.
This would be amazing. Jesu influence. He would need Geordie's guitar amp setup

JAZ great spirit and love
Absolutely.
Which date on the tour was this? I had a ticket for Cambridge but car trouble prevented me from getting there ☹️
This was the Cambridge Junction date. Wish l'd started recording the Q & A sooner as l was in a plum seat in the front row.
In a recent interview Jaz said that Geordie didn't want to work with the original line up anymore. Did he elaborate any more about this?
@philtofield4572 He mentioned it early on in the evening and l wish l'd asked for some elaboration.
Im looking forward to any new work Jaz creates, but i cant see him doing Killing Joke without Geordie, and to be honest i dont think i want to.
Kind of agree either way.
Dead ringer for Matthias in the Omega Man...
And with a laugh second only to Sid James.
@@philtanner2083 the non symmetry was annoying me lol
Love jaz but my nonsenseometer is going mental
I’m wondering what you think is nonsense?

Wait, did he support Trump?

Haha, have a look at the murial of Jaz in Cheltenham.
@@austinscrapbookchannel haha just seen it! Dead ringer 😂
He should stick to the music.
He certainly has plenty to say🙂
