Ive heard Bobs story so many times but I still love it. Bob hand wrote me a letter back to my email I sent him. Its one of the most precious things I have in ham radio.

I have a signed book, that Bob signed for me back in 2015 at Dayton....I bought a second copy to read so that I would not mess up the spine on the signed one :).

I worked Bob on 6m SSB back in July 1999. I wish I had gotten a QSL card.

I met him about the same time, my first contact was June 1999, we had a nice long chat on 6 meters and found some common interest. Had numerous 6 meter chats in early 2000's and enjoyed face to face several times....But was an awesome guy, and I am sorry you did not get a QSL card from him. He and Bill W3XO were iconic mentors to me and I valued the time I got so spend with them both

No Bob, Owsley was not the inventor of LSD. LSD was invented in 1938 by Albert Hofmann, but he didn't discover its effects until 1943. Owsley did, however, manufacture perhaps as many as 5 million hits of LSD, and of consistently good quality.
