Just picked up a Redondo Player in Jetty black. Sounds deadly, plays great, and I love the black and gold. Gives it a bit of a Johnny Cash vibe. 10 outta 10.
I just bought one just a few minutes ago, now I just have to go for a 5 hour drive to pick it up. It will be wroth the trip after seeing your video. Thanks
Depends. The CD60s are a traditional build with the natural finish. Perfectly good guitars. The California player series are all custom shaped guitars in various unique colour combinations. They cost more and probably have better electronics.
It's subjective. I personally prefer natural finishes to painted finishes - and those guitars tend to sound better to my ears. But that's not the case every time.
I've always wondered about that series by Fender, ( The Malibu, Neport and Redondo). It sounds really nice. I actually live one city away from Redondo Beach, CA. Malibu Beach and Newport Beach are several miles north and south of Redondo. Also, there actually is a jetty at Redondo Beach made of rocks. Very cool!
Assuming you don't have that guitar any longer it is shame you let it go. It seemed to match up well with your playing style. It definitely sounds nice and big over my device, without being plugged in.
I can't keep them all - and to be honest these coloured finishes aren't really my style. They sound great plugged in but acoustically they tend to be a bit thin. I much prefer natural spruce or cedar finishes with a bit more bottom end. Thanks for the kind comment though....

I've got a white/gold one coming and it will go up on my Reverb page once set up.

Hey, you have any idea if Fender CD-60SCE or Fender Redondo Player would be better to pick?

Love the guitar! Don’t like painted finishes. Sounds incredible
They are like candies!
How would this be for someone with shorter fingers?
Good - neck profile is fairly slinky.
Elias (WWE wrestler) plays that guitar! Amazing video! I really love your channel and I'm going through all the videos. Nice work!
Thank you very much!
That shit is NICE!
Super video! Never seen these. I will look for them. Looks good ans sounds good :)
They are fairly readily available if you want to find one.
Hi everybody and flowforth, i am looking abaut this or the cc60sce, which is the best?
See my upcoming video on the CC60S. They are decent guitars - I think the Cali series are higher rated but more expensive.

They are fairly decent and better than the entry level Fenders. I lived in Torrance for a while so I'm familiar with those areas.
@@FlowforthInstruments Oh very cool!
You resemble Lars Ulrich and Kirk Hammett, mixed together. No offence, I think it's awesome :)
First time anyone's said that. None taken.
@@FlowforthInstruments Im sure i will thank you.
I was thinking just lars
Does it have a nice low action?
Yes, when I set them up.
