      Constantine the great is a Saint in both the Catholic and Orthodox Churches.

      @@theReeyver he is actually a Saint at the same level with the apostols for us orthodox , not a saint for chatolics

      York Minster, the Cathedral next to the statue, is part of the Church of England and therefore Protestant. It was originally consecrated as a Catholic Cathedral before the English Reformation in the 16th Century.

      St Wilfred's Catholic Church is a few hundred yards away from the Minster.
