That’s what Selena has worked hard to do. When I watched ‘Wolves’ live, I felt like I was watching Alex and Mason in a sequel AND Selena during her own tough times. Regardless of her vocal range, power, pitch etc... she is a first class performer.

These show make it look like people are born with that voice and they never talk about how much that singer practiced. People are not born talented. Talented singers have usually been exposed to music at a young age and picked an ear for pitches at a young age. This makes it easier for them to learn at an older age. Some people may be born with vocal folds that have a larger range and a subjectivly more pleasent sound than others.
People will say that Ed sheeran is talented, but if they listened to his clips when he started singing, they would say this guy cant sing. There is a video where Ed Sheeran shows a clip of him singing early, and it sounds like shit.
