This is criminal. seriously, look at all those over sized unique items, and you're telling me the airline couldnt find the item? I've been involved in a lost bag claim, It took 2 months to finally get the airline to say they found the bag, then when it arrived it was the wrong bag. This is legal theft at its best. The airline is making money of you and your lost luggage, and these pond shop scum bags are also taking in cash hand over fist. Just brutal
***** seriously... thats your answer? because there are a lot of bags its ok to lose some and then profit from the lost bags? LOL you're the fucking special kind a stupid arent you
They get 90 days to claim the bag, just like it always has been. The airlines that UBC has contracts with then settle the insurance withe the company, then sell the luggage to UBC. It's not criminal, these people either never claimed, or did not want the luggage/cargo. UBC is the only company that has contracts with airlines and the only company that has been allowed to do this in the United States. They have been around since the 70s and have always been fair and wonderful people. They get many chances to reclaim, but don't for whatever circumstances.
hopersx3 there are some cases were bags were lost and and the airport didn’t know someone calmed it and few days after they call the owner and say we could not find your bag in my opinion they don’t care about people bags
The store should be called, "Finders keepers losers weepers!" I agree, it seems unethical the whole concept of it. Of course, there is the natural problem of accumulating luggage and lost items, but never-the-less, how can it be certain that these items were not stolen by airline employees and then they wound up at the store? I wonder how many times all sorts of stashed illegal contraband has been discovered, and THAT's why over a million people come in per year! And yeah, how is it that one single smart phone, tablet, or computer is there for sale when the owner can be identified from the information on the device?
Google Glass?! This place is within an hour of me. Prices aren't really exceptional, especially for electronics. You could get a good deal, but it's hit or miss what they have. Anything really good likely won't stay long.
All of these bags were paid for to go in a cabin and the airline company lost them and the passengers have lost out. Someone lost a 64 thousand dollar rolex..probably others lost irreplaceable heirlooms or family photos on phones or laptops
As a former airline lost luggage employee, I feel the same and sorry for those passengers who lost their bags and weren't found. However, after the airline does a rigorous tracing for at least three weeks, the airline would just compensate the customer. If in case the baggage was found after compensation was given, it is the decision of the airline whether to give back or not the baggage. Hope all airlines change this policy and should still be willing to return the bags ti their rightful owners even after giving them compensation. You never know how important those bags are.
Its no good any more baseball cap used to sell for 3.59 now they sell for 16.99-18.99 and they are used wen Ross- tjmax -marshalls has them for 9.99 rather buy it new everything has changed at that store that's why we quit going

Mitch T if it is over 90 days and airports find your luggage, then they sell it to then

how do those electronics not have any identifiers RECORDED in them?
They can reset and sell them but they can’t even try to figure out who owns it
I hear they sell the merch at full retail price. You're not saving anything by shopping there.

Wow. Even Google glass? Damn. I'm gonna start leaving a note in my bag with contact info if it ever gets lost.

Ew, i have better morals than to go and buy someones lost it, its basically stealing
The airline tries to find the owner for no less than 90 days, the owner is irresponsible in these cases.

If the bag had family photos I imagine the people could be located... Legally.

Why wouldn't you recommend for a chance to try to find their lost items? no matter how small the chance is. this business model rubs me the wrong way
