Use a bone folder to set the crease then lightly dampen the crease. Reverse the fold and dampen again, then tear, and you'll get a nice deckle edge. Love that you are doing this and sharing.💖💝
Thanks for your feedback and good question. The size of the loop will depend on the density of the paper. The main thing is to choose a thread that is not too thick. Since I stitched one sheet of paper at a time, I used silk embroidery thread 😉

@@sibel3852 yes, I sewed on each page, in this case the sketchbook unfolds nicely.
P.S. the camera did not focus at the time of stitching...
