They could of easily gone with some generic fantasy soundtrack but instead went with a soundtrack you can jive to. Good guitar rifts and plenty of trills. More soundtracks like this need to be made.
@@KissaKolme I heavily agree, I sometimes listen to this OST while doing something else because it's so jammy Reminds of bands like Khruangbin thanks for awesome music mate
Don't know if you've seen the behind the scenes of making the soundtrack, but they basically spent 19 days in the studio with nothing prepared, the whole soundtrack is basically improv.
@20:15 how many times have I heard this on repeat... It's certainly a very atmospheric and good song, but oh man have I spent a long time tinkering with wands...
It's some kind of psychedelic stoner and even has some doom metal parts. I never had this kind of music in any game before, which makes Noita even more special and outstanding. It fits the overall atmosphere so, so well. Couldn't have chosen a better music direction. What a fantastic experience.
it's alright, but what is 'recent years' - there are metric tonnes of incredible videogame soundtracks made in the last ten years, some that may even be better than this!
00:00 | 01 - Enter the Caves 00:26 | 02 - Daddy Long-Leg's Surprise 03:56 | 03 - Out-take I - Herkku 06:01 | 04 - Sweet Depths 09:19 | 05 - Teleport to Happier Times 12:55 | 06 - There's Sand in My Wand 14:29 | 07 - Beat of The Kosmos 17:29 | 08 - Peace At Last 20:15 | 09 - Holy Mountain Theme Such an amazing soundtrack for this game! Was pleasantly surprised.
This has to be one of my favorite soundtracks of all time, almost certainly my favorite for any video game. Wild, playful, funny, clever. Must have been a joy to make -- or sounds like it was, at least.
Noita is such a uniquely interesting game to me. The graphics are kind of silly at first, but I’ve never played a game before where nearly every single aspect of the world is incredibly intimidating. The game’s intentionally hostile and punishing design where you feel like you could die at any moment, combined with tons of varied enemies that strike a very specific feeling that freaks me out no matter what (specifically any of the enemies that use physics to move around, like the worms, spiders, and those tentacle monsters) it all makes for such an unsettling, yet extremely interesting and unique experience
I found a track from a band called chrome from 1981 that sounds sooooo similar to some of the music in this game ruclips.net/video/epU0clsD1AI/видео.html its only this one that I found that sounds so similar but I thought it was cool
Ah yes, panic jazz.
thats really apt
I prefer gloom funk
I’ve played this game for 15 hours and didn’t even notice how hard the soundtrack goes
A video game soundtrack has no right to be this cool
you have no idea dude
Transistor Soundtrack
yeah, they really oughtta be worse, huh?
like, no foul to you, but what is the point of this saying?
Man that color smells nice
Usual concepts don’t apply

@@KissaKolme I actually listen to the soundtrack while I do schoolwork sometimes. You’ve really outdone yourself man.
@@theone2-three438 Way cool :) thank you, although I can not take the credit alone, it was a collaboration between everyone working on the music!
I wish everyone put this much effort into their game music. Simply magical

”Whoa dude man dude that is so trippyyyyyyyy, haha yea dude man”
The soundtrack is so surreal and discordant, and the way it comes in at intense chaotic moments makes noita an incredible experience to play.
That album cover art is siiiiiick
Hearing the Holy Mountain theme fills you with determination.
when the konnan liha hits

That one person that disliked this album is a savage.
Listening to this soundstrack is like smoking some dried mushrooms
So uhm, a vinyl release some day?
this soundtrack is righteous
Good shit. Gives me some serious old school Splinter Cell / Amon Tobin vibes.
LIT STUFF!
Noita's ost just has this hard to explain feeling to it, it's between wtf am i listening to and I don't care it's still my jam
This ost is beautiful when you’re on acid

these ring looks like external ring of "Halo of the sun" Very well known sign from "silent hill " series. I wonder if it was inspiration?
This is so similar to the 70s of music, its like listening to Pink Floyd.
Rimworld music on acid
Alien Blues

So your ears can smell it in 60 frames per second, duh
