Couple important things you left out here... 1) Since there have been 4 major championships a year, only 176 different players have won majors...not 230. 2) The PGA was a Match Play limited field event until they moved to stroke play in 1958. 3) If we're comparing Spieth to the other 5 at 40 starts in majors... Jack would go on to win 11 more majors (including 4 PGAs) Tiger 5 more (including 2 PGAs) Player 5 more (including 1 PGA) Phil would win all 6 of his majors after the 40th attempt Trevino's PGA win came in his 64th start It's one to criticize Spieth's "major slump" with similar comparisons (or maybe winning %) It's another thing to make a clickbait video not telling the entire story of all these historic careers...
Tommy Armour did complete a career grand slam. He won the US Open, Open Championship, PGA Championship and Western Open. Western Open was a major for professional golfers at the time. US Amateurs and British Amateurs were majors for amateurs only at that time.
Its crazy to think Spieth might not win the career grand slam but was so close to winning the career grand slam all in one year 2015. Won Masters , Won US Open , 2nd PGA , 2nd or 3rd British Open.
I feel like the key of completing Grand Slam is to do it as soon as after you win your third. All the players who had completed career Grand Slam, won their fourth and final piece of the Grand Slam no more than three years after they won their third. Jordan is still young so he’s gonna have more crack at it and so does Rory at Augusta but we also said the same thing about Phil & US Open. The more they try without success, the deeper their scar tissue gonna be. We’ll see.
I hate to break it to you but nobody walked on the moon! Just remember one thing about it. Richard M. Nixon made a land line call to it so you see we were really dumb to believe it.
The PGA was also a major championship. But since Jones was an amateur, he did not play in the PGA so he won every major for which he was eligible. And equivalent of today's Grand Slam did not exist, since pros like Walter Hagen were only eligible for 3 majors.
That’s what’s great about sports. Statistics can infer probability. But you still have to shoe up and sign the card. He’s got a “few” years left in the tank.
Spieth might do it but I wouldn't count on it. Every year that passes he gets a year older and another young stud bomber or two comes onto the tour. He's kinda had a crazy career so far to be honest. So hot early on and then a 3 year slide wayyyy down followed by a comeback to be in top 10-20 type player. I have my doubts he will ever be a consistent top 5 player again though as he heads into his 30s. I don't see the hunger anymore, he is a bit hot headed, the dude has plenty wins and ton of $ and fame, is older now and has many younger guys that are bombers to compete against. That long putter he had years back is long gone and looks like somewhat of a statistical anomaly at this point.
At that time the PGA championship and Western open were also major championships. Walter Hagen needs to be added. The Masters wasn't a major when it started.

Screw this title spieth is a legend. He’ll get it
I’d bet on xander or scottie before jordan

Fascinating piece here, well done. As a huge Spieth fan, this is discouraging. But let’s hope he breaks the mold!

I hope Rory or Jordan win a Major this year. It's been too long....
Too late for them both..
I'd like to see Spieth do it, Rory not so much. It's just getting sad at this point.
If it's a full field(best in the world) spieth will never have a chance, to much drama in his game and not to mention what's going on in his head.
First.
Also, don't ever talk about my boy Jordan that way again.
God Bless.
great video
I feel like the 2015 PGA was his chance. He played incredible at whistling straits, but Jason Day played even better. Who knows he’s not even 30 yet.

This is why I follow this channel 👏
This is why Tiger constantly tweaked his swing. To remove any weaknesses. Spieth or Rory may not be there yet..not completely removing weaknesses
Its not the damnned 'british open'
ahhhh, the old "but first let's go back to the beginning of time" format.
golf is a game, played with a ball.......
This video is nothing more than garbled speculation.
More men have walked on the moon than have won the career grand slam!

Why was he amateur when he won so much

anyone her after spieth's win at vahalla pga championship in 2024
He'll for sure get the grand slam
Spieth will win the PGA Championship and the 5th major The Players Championship.
There's nothing "major" about these tournaments! They are old established and prestigious tourneys but certainly a lot hypes.
That’s exactly why they’re considered “majors”!
But before we look at Spieth let’s take a look at how golf got here......nah didn’t click for a history lesson wanted to hear about Jordan.

Why? Because it’s 🤬hard. He still is great and one 31.
History is written every day don't spiel that rubbish! But nice video 👌
Hope Spieth wins
