Giving your mate half after diesel is a bit generous. What about tyres, oil and mot and general repairs. Or does he go halves with you on that? I'm guessing, no.
Great video again mate 👍 I'm interested......what is ur day job? I do part time scrapping aswell but my tipper decided to die so am making do between my astra van and frontera lol
You get an F grade for your scrapyard antics, processing and sorting the material AT the yard, as opposed to before you get there. Not a good practice taking up space at the yard to process, as it should be as quick of a trip in there as possible, so one doesnt hold others up from dropping off their loads, and the yard as well as the sellers to them, can maximize their money-making capabilities. Imagine if you had a debt to pay, due by the end of the day. You just acquired access to a huge load that will take more than one van load and had to go back and forth to get it all, and have limited time to retrieve it, and it takes an hour each way to travel. Now imagine when you arrive to the yard, you see multiple people do what you did, at the same time, and you couldnt get in for over an hour. Now imagine that nobody did that. You'd get in all the loads needed to retrieve it all, as opposed to maybe one load. Ive actually experienced scenarios similar to this. Scrapyards dont want it done any more than other metal recyclers. Thanks for taking us along for the ride, though. Aloha
I get exactly what your saying bud but everyone and I mean all the scrap yards iv been to its always the same this used to really piss me off when I first started but it's just how it's done over here I have no space at home to sort it out and I can't just pull over on the side of the road and do it totally get it dude but that's just thr way we all do it here 🤟
@@thescraphunter6811 that was the one caveat that i was gonna include, but didnt. I guess, more power to ya, then! But for anybody else reading this in the U.S., take notes. Thanks for responding back w/that, btw. Aloha
@tommymummery2104 environment agency for the waste and the scrap one is a mission through the council but each council has its own Google it mate its a pain in the arse tho
Your video's are actually good to watch the hole fing instead of having to skip half just to get to the good part
If you get a go pro and strap it to you, you could be much more productive using two hands to collect your scrap
and wearing gloves you could pick even more up
Your good mates really , fairplay good video 👍👍
