      Personally a T300RS plus T3PA-PRO and TH8A gear shift. Originally got for Project Cars on PS4 but been through Dirt Rally and Dirt Rally 2.0 on PC as well. Will have to find the stage and see if I can beat three and a half minutes.
      Also shoutout to Wheel Stand Pro for the stand and mounts, literally ordered my stand on a Thursday and it was delivered Tuesday the following week from Poland to Australia!

      I really appreciate the dive into sims, its a very important part of practicing. Looks like the G pro will be a solid upgrade, it would be nice to see you guys give a proper Fanatec setup a go as well in the future.

    We use direct drive wheels, load cell pedals and full aluminium extrusion solid frames for our simulators! We especially focus on Dirt Rally 2.0, we find 4WD cars to be the closest to real car behaviour. And we are very very excited for the new sim - EA WRC!!!

    Real missed opportunity to give us any actionable advice, like details on price point, the difference between direct drive and belt drive, the value of a pressure based brake pedal, upgradeability in terms of the types of accessories you can attach and their cost, etc...

      Yea I was hoping for this aswell because it seems like the logitech is the best choice but I dont have any more details besides their reactions 🙃

    Really interesting topic! Love sim racing and looking to upgrade from a table-mounted G29 someday haha.
    On a separate note, please look into Field of View settings. It is clearly too wide for the size of the screen/distance to the screen. There are calculators online for the correct FoV. Too large of a FoV makes it very difficult to feel how fast you are going and makes you miss corners. Plus a correct FoV better translates to real life driving. Sorry for being the FoV police but had to be said with such serious gear.

    I see two problems with all the rigs tested as displayed, with 2nd being biggest and causing most of problems.
    1st - these foldable rigs being very flexy with lot of play, which reduces feedback quality and braking consistency;
    2nd - visibility limitations. Screen of this size and that distance and probably unadjusted field of view provides wrong speed and distance perception, that doesn't let reuse habits/skills from real life right away, but requires first practicing a lot to adapt self to displayed picture of wrong distances/proportions/speed, as result often braking too late, taking wrong trajectories and so on. It also will make training in sims a bit less efficient for application to IRL.
    I advise to move screen as close as possible (eg. above wheelbase) to maximize viewable angle without purchasing bigger one + calculate & configure in-game natural FOV, or try (unfortunately very performance demanding thus increasing cost of gaming pc hardware) VR.
    For simracing worth going PC, skipping consoles, as most major simracing titles are PC-only and a lot of higher end simracing gear is supported only on PC. As for simracing rigs .. better either stay at "budget phase" with bolting everything to table, only thinking of some solution to fix seat relative pedals, or go all-in for proper aluminum profile cockpit, skipping these flexy interim pseudo cockpits that already are not that cheap but not much better then desk mounted either.

    Interesting (as always).
    Please make a specific video on how realistic are rally simulators compared to real driving.

      this, I would like to know if it really translates to real driving or it's just a game. I have a cool setup with a VR headset and really enjoy it but would like to know how it is compared to real driving.

    Great stuff. You should do more sim stuff try different games like wrc and ruchard burns. Give us in depth commentey on the realism of each. Where theyre going right and wrong etc...

    Which brake cells is the Logitech one using? As in the configuration? White/brown/red?

    You can ad the old logitech shifter to your setup and than diy a hand brake with it.
