To answer your question about the Truly Mes. In early September they retired all existing Truly Mes and released 25 new dolls. Thats why there's so little right now. All the new dolls have the painted eyelashes. They also released the new meet outfits (the t-shirt dresses). There's technically different meet outfits, but each Truly Me has their set meet outfit. Hope this helps!

I loved the American Girl Chicago store when I was in college in Chicago. I used to just go and look at everything to make me feel better. I could never buy anything because I didn't have the money while in school, but now I have quite the collection. I do miss that store though, it's my favorite ❤️
Yeah, they completely retired the existing Truly Me's and have just the new dolls now. Lots of us were really bummed about that. There aren't a lot of kids with colored streaks or completely colored hair so, like you said, it really narrows down a person's choice on what doll looks like them. awe this gave me so many memories of going here as a kid! i’m from the suburbs so i go to chicago a couple times a year but when i was younger we used to go during christmas and always stop at the american girl store and me and my sister would run around looking for stuff to add to our christmas list, we never ended up getting dolls because they were so expensive but going there is still super sentimental lol

She loves them. We even got a red rc car and Julie's bathroom 2nd hand. Super cute. She also loves the our generation dolls and playsets. She took one of her our generation dolls to the pumpkin farm. It was so cute. I too hope to find nanea's market someday. It's so cute. I was not sure she would like them but she loves them. She loves dolls just like me. We saw the new house in the magazine. Super cute but we would need more room.

Usually I get my life as or our generation because they are in stores and I don’t live anywhere close to American Girl stores! I’m glad to see some AG content because I just got my first AG dolls: Claudie and a #67. I had no interest in them before, but then I realized the quality of the hair and the clothes. That store is like a museum where you can buy stuff. I could easily drop $20,000 if I won the lottery. It seems with the Truly Me that they cut down the selection to encourage people to create a CYO, which is more expensive. If I am not mistaken, there is only one doll with your colouring (which is basically like mine), and it is just the Nanea mold, which I think looks better as Nanea herself.

The Janie x Jack dress looks gorgeous on Truly Me 109, it really complements her skintone. Such a pretty collection. I’ve been obsessed with Truly Me 92, she came out earlier this year and I’ve been waiting to see if AG does any holiday sales. Idk if you’ve seen the Costco AG stuff already but they are selling Truly Me 27, 67, 82, and 84 who all have natural colored hair. They are all in soccer sets though so I think $10-$20 more than just buying a Truly Me from AG. There’s WellieWisher sets as well, and if I remember correctly you can save around $10 on Costco AG sets if you can find it in store as opposed to online.
Janie & Jack is a high end children apparel store. There is one I believe in the same outdoor shopping area that my AG store is located. The Janie & Jack collection is the holiday collection for this year. I didn’t get the outfit but I did get the coat you got and the boots. I also have Evette and bought 109 with 122 and 118.
Those Wellie Wishers are adorable was thinking of getting one they aren't bad price used. I like them more then the 18 in. ones because they are smaller and more reasonable priced.
I’ve had great luck finding Wellie wishers second hand for very inexpensive prices. They are easy to fix up to look new because the quality is so nice. Glitter Girls clothing & accessories fits them perfectly too.

I actually just bought Camille used for $30 and the rose dress that was in this video for $23 on Mercai. The dress is a great holiday dress without it hitting you over the head with Xmas. Was going to get Willa but I can't seen to find her without messy hair for a good price. If I get tired of her I can always sell her and the dress these dolls are quite popular. She would look good as the photo I send to my contacts wishing them a happy holiday.

The mini dolls were originally created as 6 inch historical dolls. There are also GOTY mini dolls for 2013-2017. The mini dolls have been discontinued. Courtney’s mini doll is a mini Molly, which had already been created. There is no mini Courtney or mini Claudie. Courtney’s Molly was the end of the mini dolls.
When I was little I wanted an AG doll. But my mom told me they were too expensive. Then let me and my sister get these little mommy dolls instead. And someone gave me a pair of AG shoes and I think a plushie for my doll so I could play with them. I just wish they were cheaper cuz I still want one!
You can find a lot of them on Ebay. I bought 2 from them. Good condition and under 50.00 each. I just clean them up, style their hair and buy outfits for them.
The whole best friends lineup seems to be gone ever since Cécile and Marie-Grace were a financial failure. It’s such a shame because it was my absolute favorite line. We needed to see Kirsten and Rebecca’s friends at least :(

I am Canadian. We do have American Girl dolls in Canada. They are sold at Indigo stores, but it is just a little section in the store. There are more online at Indigo. We also have Our Generation at Toys R Us, My Life As at Walmart, Maplelea online (made in Canada), and Newberry at Canadian Tire. American Girl USA does ship to Canada, so basically everything is available here. I would love to visit an actual big store to see it all in person.

I'm always screaming, crying, throwing up whenever I see Claudie, Josefina, Melody, and Nanea because they're all so pretty, but I know I can't afford their full sized dolls. My only American Girl doll is *supposedly* Girl of Today #3 or someone similar, but she has none of her meet pieces and I got her at Goodwill for $15. If anything, I'll try and get my hands on the mini dolls of the dolls I love.

Never really cared for the look of AG tbh. Though a few I thought were cute. I have visited this store though. On a family trip to Chicago my sister wanted to go. I do recall liking Kaya at the time a little but I generally like more realistic BJD dolls. Which brings me to the reason I could see myself visiting this store someday. I believe AG doll size is close ish to MSD size in the very least, I believe some of the accessories and such is close to scale.
Great Video! The sad thing is that if you all had been black you never would have had the freedom to film and touch everything in that store the way you all did. That’s one reason I gave up on my American doll collection. I could never enjoy choosing products in that store. The store clerks followed me so closely it felt suffocating.
Did they shame you for that? I’ve only been to the actual stores a few times (probably 10 total) and I’ve always observed the displays being made to play with and one of those places where you catch a lot of people filming. But I can imagine as the dolls do attract nasty racists in their community that some of the employees may follow suit. I’m so disgusted to hear that happened to you, I’m so sorry.

I just asked because research has shown that for the coronavirus for example the mask does not help unless it’s a surgical mask. A young person with no pre existing conditions has a robust immune system so I don’t think it’s necessary but the video itself is pretty fun and I like your energy and excitement … keep up the enthusiasm and good content

I'm always screaming, crying, throwing up whenever I see Claudie, Josefina, Melody, and Nanea because they're all so pretty, but I know I can't afford their full sized dolls. My only American Girl doll is *supposedly* Girl of Today #3 or someone similar, but she has none of her meet pieces and I got her at Goodwill for $15.
If anything, I'll try and get my hands on the mini dolls of the dolls I love.

I know that transphobic vitriol ends up hurting real people. I don’t need to have experienced Harry Potter to be aware of the things she continues to say online to the point that she’s become a martyr to transphobic people and racists. I’m sure most people who like Harry Potter aren’t like that but I find it weird and backwards that AG, a VERY outspoken progressive brand, would collaborate with HP after everything. Idk if the books or movies say anything inflammatory and I don’t really have anything against people who enjoy the media related.

Never really cared for the look of AG tbh. Though a few I thought were cute. I have visited this store though. On a family trip to Chicago my sister wanted to go. I do recall liking Kaya at the time a little but I generally like more realistic BJD dolls. Which brings me to the reason I could see myself visiting this store someday. I believe AG doll size is close ish to MSD size in the very least, I believe some of the accessories and such is close to scale.

The sad thing is that if you all had been black you never would have had the freedom to film and touch everything in that store the way you all did. That’s one reason I gave up on my American doll collection. I could never enjoy choosing products in that store. The store clerks followed me so closely it felt suffocating.
Did they shame you for that? I’ve only been to the actual stores a few times (probably 10 total) and I’ve always observed the displays being made to play with and one of those places where you catch a lot of people filming. But I can imagine as the dolls do attract nasty racists in their community that some of the employees may follow suit. I’m so disgusted to hear that happened to you, I’m so sorry.

I just asked because research has shown that for the coronavirus for example the mask does not help unless it’s a surgical mask. A young person with no pre existing conditions has a robust immune system so I don’t think it’s necessary but the video itself is pretty fun and I like your energy and excitement … keep up the enthusiasm and good content
