2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Review - Inspiringly Uninspiring | Review

The 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross is something that's both interesting and not. It's interesting in that it competes with B-segment rivals like the Subaru XV, PROTON X50 and Honda HR-V while being dimensionally one size larger, and uninteresting that it does so while focusing so doggedly on being reliable and dependable that it seems to have forgotten a personality.
However, the majority of people who buy cars don't care for a personality. They just want a car that'll work, and work well. They want a car that's comfortable, quiet, spacious and practical, and good on fuel. So maybe we have to put our misgivings aside and give the Corolla Cross a chance solely because it's... a good car?

Great review and very impressive presentation Aiman. So refreshing to see a highly eloquent Malaysian car journalist, and not just in the boardroom or news desk. The editing cadence could do with a fewer quicker cut-aways given the general shorter attention span these days. But good job overall Malaysian Motoring. Excellent review, Aiman! I'm very pleased to hear that the latest generation Corolla sedan using the TNGA platform is fun to drive! I plan on buying a 2023 Corolla LE sedan here in the USA. Do you think the Corolla sedan will be even more fun to drive with the 2 liter engine since that has 30 more horsepower and more torque?

We doubt you'd feel a difference in the real world. Besides, the majority of the torque you'll feel will come from the electric motor anyway.

Good review. This is a simple and hassle-free car, for day to day and small family suv with comfortable ride. No worries on fuel consumption and equipped with current technologies. It does come with some simple warm-hearted feature while you with remote key in your pocket and walk near to your car, the interior light will be light on.

you might feel bmw looks better inside which it dose, but after you add miles and need to repair and change parts you might like it as much, the chr is also good but more compact for a SUV, i have the cross and its a big car and will be easy to repair whenever i need to
