With the advent of RUclips, we get to see all these older performances that ordinarily been forgotten. A guitar education for all.

Love your channel, Jon. You are an excellent teacher and this vintage clip of Paul Simon brings me back (way back!). Nice pick up on the capo adjustment on the fly. I remember those capos, I had several they worked great, you could change keys on the fly as they were elastic - but they also got stretch fatigue and loosened string tension (but not for awhile). I think they were Dunlops...

I'm a pretty old dude and Guilds were highly thought in the 60s and 70s and were not cheap. Particularly their 12 strings were incredible. Love your videos and yes, Paul Simon is a great guitar player.

John, a great summation on a great song. I feel like I perform it pretty close but picked up a few points I need to work on! I also have adjusted Capo on the fly!

Had an opportunity to meet Paul at an event luthier Linda Manzer hosted in NYC with Pat Metheny. Fun evening! 😎

Cool to point out making sure your capo is right at the start.
