This city is transforming into something special and continues to deliver great venues. Check it out sometime if you can, especially in the summer months! For a small town there's so much to offer. BTW - Have you owned a Waterbed? When I saw that sign I remembered my waterbed from my teenage years. :)
My wife and I have renovated a few houses in and around Hamilton over the past four years. This past 12-18 months, in particular, we've especially noticed that the Main Street Business District (the part of Main Street east of the Great Miami River) has gradually become more and more busy, especially during the weekends. New restaurants have sprung up in that area, along with some new apartments right along Main Street. You may have heard about the Spooky Nook Sports complex that was completed last year, which will also pump quite a bit into the local economy. The City may also try to redevelop the old Cohen Recycling facility a bit north of downtown. Anyway, we even talked about possibly moving to Hamilton ourselves at some point. Of course, it has its struggles as well, but lots of upside recently.
We've lived in Fairfield Township for nearly 30 years and never have issues. There might be some domestic drama here and there at certain houses, but not often. Our son lives on the West side in Hamilton and it's a fairly quiet street, but from first glance you'd think otherwise. The city is transforming overnight and it's becoming a unique area. I'd wager to say in another 5 years or less the City of Hamilton may just be THE place to live and a true gem in the rough in Cincinnati.
Oh yea big Hamilton Ohio. I used to live there, owned a home and had child. I was chef or Nichting Supper Club in 90s up till It was sold. We used to it all the vendors come out downtown once a year celebrate taste of Hamilton. I met lot of stars, I used to cook for Jerry Read from Smokie and the Bandit. Bowser from shawnana. . Joe Nucksaw. I sue missed those days.. then moved back to Middletown, it's butler county but north of Hamilton.
My mom works for 80 Acres Farms, and just recently visited Hamilton. She was really impressed! We live not too far away, and I definitely want to come see it as well!

Hey Ezra! Wow, small world. I'm glad the video allowed you to reflect on things and that's why I enjoy this. Good old AOL. Yes, I remember those days and getting so excited when I finally connected to it. Remember how it would be "busy" for hours until you finally was able to dial in? :) My favorite place in Hamilton I'd have to say is Marcum Park and walking around the city. The Casual Pint establishment is one of our go-to spots to enjoy beverages. ;) Then we walk around the city, especially in the summer! I'm going to do a video on the West Side of Hamilton soon. Stay tuned!
@@Trekopolis Awesome! Just realized all the typos and auto correct decided to change half the words I typed! Yup Aol you got mail the good ol days! I meant saying Hueston woods is nice. Two completely different cities. City of Hamilton is about 35 minutes North of the much larger, downtown Cincinnati. I plan on doing a tour of that one of these days! 😎
@@jennypoudyel9882 Cincinnati is in Hamilton county. Hamilton is in Butler county. Its named after the fort the established the city, Fort Hamilton. The fort set where the log cabin and soldiers monument sits now.

That building the brew house is in use to be where utility company use to be years ago
Wrong. It was Fire station #2 before they moved to the new one that was built on Pershing Ave. in 2000
Yes that was the original YMCA i use to live down the street from the court house in the 70’s and 80’s
It's fun to stay at the YMCA.... 😏 Thanks for the comment! 👍🏼

Jerry Reed was one of my favorite people. How cool it would have been to chat with him and eat at that restaurant. I read the steaks were good. 👍🏼

I ride past 80 Acres a lot. It's like five minutes from our home. Small world! 🙂
That's Mehas Music on High Street, by the way. Cool video, though.
