Damaged or broken floats are bound to happen over time and some are more durable than others to begin with. This is a great tip I will use to strengthen my DIY balsa pike floats. Thanks

Hi Andrew, came across your site whilst looking for content on lure fishing for chub. What a gem! Not only is the content great, you are very free with your advice and provide links to purchasing the kit you use. Just waiting to see how long it takes for my first AliExpress orders to arrive!

Yes, float will be a bit heavier (less than number 8 shot fora big float, I believe) and the buyonacy of the float won't change as density of the glue is more similar to the water's than lead's 👌

I myself own a float making company and I can can you that if the float is made properly with quality materials and the correct quality paints a varnish, then this will never need to be done . My tip is to stop buying rubbish floats that you need to strengthen and buy top quality hand made products

Really depends on where you are.. But you are right - when water is cold, fish will be just specific areas.
