    Well that real funny. I just received my EXO-AT960 today. I was really looking at the XT9000 also but ultimately went with the 960 due to being modular, having a removable peak, and while it doesnt come with an extra visor it does have a drop down sun visor so I can ride a little bit more comfortably facing that island sun. Funny way things work!

    I think the white will look sharp. Black gets too hot. Wish the vid would play in something better than 360P, though. Is that something you can reupload at a higher res?

      You're fast man, literally had it direct publish right after uploading haha. So it's still processing HD and 4K resolutions. I'll check again in the morning and see if it goes HD then!

    Nice mini review - couple questions. Is there 1 or 2 pinlocks? How wide is the 1st indent when opening the visor?

    • @SpencerDesmarais
      @SpencerDesmarais  Год назад +2

      Good questions! Just the one pinlock insert, but both visors are compatible. Looks like the part # is 52-590-74 and kind of hard to find online. Hopefully that improves.
      As far as the indent goes, the first indent is about an inch open at the chin. It's not great. It does have enough play though that you can still crack it for some de-fogging action at a lower position, but it's not really an indent. I haven't run it at the first indent very much, the bottom of the visor where it folds starts to get into your vision and it's not optically accurate there and gets annoying. I haven't had any issues with being able to crack it for some quick air, it's not ideal situation and I'd prefer a more positive feeling detent, but it's fine to be honest.

      Nope, neck doesn’t hurt at all. It’s been a good helmet!

    Any updates on your thoughts on the helmet after wearing it for a month of riding? I'm on the fence about buying this helmet or waiting until Arai releases a newer version of the XD4 that is ECE 22.06 certified.

    • @SpencerDesmarais
      @SpencerDesmarais  Год назад +2

      Really the only update I have is that I almost never use the little air pump thing. Doesn’t make enough of a difference to bother with it on commutes. Aside from that I’m still liking the helmet! I haven’t used an XD4 yet, can’t comment on a comparison, sorry.

      @@SpencerDesmarais Even so, thanks for this small update! One other question - do you use earplugs while riding, and if so, what kind?

    • @SpencerDesmarais
      @SpencerDesmarais  Год назад +1

      @@DomingoRogersNCIf I'm just commuting to work, no, I don't. If I'm going on a longer trip, then yes, I just use cheap foam plugs. I keep a sack of them in my tank bag and like having them on hand. Then if I drop one taking off my helmet I have more ready to go and don't have to put a gross one back in my ear.

    Can you use these on a offroad configuration?
    with gogles?

    • @SpencerDesmarais
      @SpencerDesmarais  Год назад

      Yes! Either pulling the visor off or flipping it up, both positions work for goggles, viewport is wide enough and tall enough to fit my pairs.
