SoHyun Ko, 8 years old, played this concerto with Nolraon Orchestra conducted by HeeTai Suh. SoHyun became the youngest violinist who had a performance at the Concert Hall of Seoul Arts Center. All 2,500 audiences got so enthusiastic.

SoHyun played this concerto with GM Symphony Orchestra conducted by Seung-Bok Kim.
10. ORF and Internationale Stiftung Mozarteum in Austria in DEC. 2014
The national broadcast ORF and the Mozarteum invited SoHyun Ko to Salzburg. SoHyun played the Mozart real violin with the Mozart real piano at Mozart Wohnhaus. ORF recorded all activities about SoHyun and broadcasted it throughout Europe.
Also SoHyun played ”Mozart violin concerto No.4 1st mov” at Mozarteum Hall in DEC. 5.

SoHyun played this concerto with Euro-asian Phil Orchestra team. SoHyun was a member of Keum Nan Sae's Kids Orchestra in 2011. The national broadcast KBS recorded all about Kid’s Orchestra and broadcasted throughout in Korea

I cannot believe what my eyes are seeing. She is a child prodigy. I hope the adults in her life (parents, teachers, promoters, etc) don’t burn her out. Her talent is colossal. I hope she develops into a mature, healthy and happy artist someday.

Is it possible that a 7 year old can play such an intricate piece so beautifully and with so much expression?!!! This requires a huge amount of practice. Bravo little SoHyun! This was 6 years ago. I look forward to seeing where she is today.

On international age she just turned 14
Had listened to interpretations by renowned violinists, but SoHyun still stuns and stands out, with the deepest emotion one can never expects from just a little child.
Simply sounds like the player has underwent some deepest torture. Tears down. Thanks SoHyun for the best interpretation of a fav piece of mine!

You can tell by the almost violent movement of her body that she has an excellent sense of timing. Add this to the obviously staggering amount of talent for pitch and shape that she has to play the violin (a naturally difficult instrument), and this girl is staggeringly talented. God bless you young lady! ;o)
Not only are her playing and intonation sound, but it's her approach that really makes it good. For seven, she clearly understands the emotional intensity needed for the piece. This is impressive. There might be a few mistakes, but this is incredible.
It's been some 8 years watching this video, and everytime (could not say how many) it deeply moves me. Not only because of SoHyun's talent but also because her total immersion on the music. Her little body movements and her facial expression, mainly near the end, say it all. Fantastic, amazing girl, now becoming also a stunningly gorgeous young lady. Success guaranteed for many years to come.
How come it sounds so powerful, deep, penetrating and decisive by a 7 yr-old little girl, tgt with nuances and tenderness? Never heard such tremendous power on a violin. It can touch the deepest part of one's heart.
And this little adorable girl has turned into a fairy young lady. Hope to see her in live concert some day.

Fantastic! There are many other great artists performing this piece in YT. All of them perfect. However, no other one plays it so dramatically and passionate as SoHyun. It may be because she was so tiny, who knows? All I know is that I showed the audio of this performance in my car to a friend and he asked me what ORCHESTRA was playing. Funny. But this shows the impression he had listening SoHyun. She is a violin powerhouse, as we can see in Zigeunerweisen.

I've heard many virtuoso play this, thot David Garrett did it best, then I heard her...I cried. I played 8 years 1st chair up to Jr. Symphony in CA. So graceful, fluid, smooth, consistently accurate, a heaven sent artist! Brava, sister!

일곱살이 외워서가아니고 어떻게 저렇게 음악을 느끼면서 연주하지?
12살에 연주한 치고이네르바이젠도 정말 훌륭한 연주이지만.. 이 연주는 경악을 금치 못할 정도로 충격입니다.
바이올린을 한지 길어야 3년밖에 안되었을 꼬마가 내는 소리와 곡에 완전 몰입하는 연주가 정말로 경이롭네요.
특히 5분 30초부터 시작되는 격정적인 속주부분에선.. 7살 소녀가 아닌 거장 정경화의 연주를 보는것 같아요 ^^
주커만이 유일하게 견제하는 사람이 어릴때 공동우승한 같은학교 출신 정경화이고
가장 싫어하는 한국 연주자들인데 고소현을 천재적인 바이올리니스트라 인정했다니 놀라울 따름입니다
너무 음악에 빠져 들었어요 .... 너무 사람들의 마음을 사로잡는 최고의 연주였어요....7살 이라고 생각이 절대 날 수 없는 실력이에요 ....🫢

My favourite live version of Palladium and Allegro on RUclips so far. You can sense the vitality, the energy, the purity of a kid from her music. That can rarely be found on anyone who doesn’t have a heart of a kid’s anymore. Good job!

Genius do exist folks, talented people have to work extra. No way she had enough time with that age to be so amazing
She is a genius because she started the violin at such a young age. Learning a particular skill or area at a really young age and practicing it for many many hours is what can make anyone a genius. The brain is growing at such an amazing speed in the early years of life. So yes, she has had enough time! I’m sure she will show us more genius throughout her lifetime!

Dom You apparently have never heard about the Polgar sisters in chess who were trained basically from birth for chess or many classical composers were training in piano from the age of three, hundreds of years ago. It is possible. Savants exist but you are highly understating the combination of any underlying “talent” and the effort that goes into continuously practicing and studying. The environment is an important factor in the development of these individuals.
Dom The human brain is a wonderful thing that has great potential(especially from early interventions and learning) that is not even attempted to be accessed because of this type of mentality. Good luck.
Dom Actually I was told the opposite. To not even try because only the magically talented by some miracle could have a nice life. My family that believes this philosophy did nothing important themselves and don’t see merit in anything intellectual because of it. I really must be going to do some educating myself. You make some valid points that some people may not be capable even with early learning and beyond but we should try so we can see who is capable. Take care, good day!☀️
