    This is honestly my favourite video. I am white and I have a little adopted cousin and she is a person of colour and no one really knows how to look after her hair and she has never been taught properly. I have always wanted to learn about her hair and find ways to help her find ways too look after her hair and lean about doing her hair. This video is honestly the best and yesterday I did my little cousins hair in box braiding using the first method. Obviously it wasn’t perfect but she loves it. Thank you for making my little cousin find herself ❤️

    I like 4! It looks good this way without a knot. I like the knot too but I’ve seen the “no knot method” and I like this version better. I’ll try this one along with a couple other methods.

    • @TheCRYSTALLURE
      @TheCRYSTALLURE 6 лет назад +1

      Ciara so I did #4 (so far) and it turned out cool. But it wasn’t as tight in some places as i would’ve liked, like in the front it looked loose within a couple of days but that can be avoided as long as you do the gripping part for it to look neat I guess is the way to put it. But I will admit that may just be my fault cause of the type of parting I did (diamond/triangle parts). It started getting wonky at the top and wasn’t even and stuff.
      But I’m going to try the rubberband method but with the crochet. Only cause I think it will hide the rubberband a bit easier than trying to grip over the top of the rubberband (tried that method too but don’t really like it much).
      The crochet rubberband method I’m talking about is on MikeyaOnly channel ruclips.net/video/YG8CjAvIPWY/видео.html

    • @TheCRYSTALLURE
      @TheCRYSTALLURE 6 лет назад

      Ciara no problem! And yes I say still try it. Doesn’t hurt to try. Maybe try smaller parts. It might look neater..? Or seem easier. Not sure but just gotta finagle with different parting and sizes til ya see what works. 😊that’s what I’ve been doing.

    • @Make_it_Make_Scents
      @Make_it_Make_Scents 6 лет назад

      Yes I really like that ☝ as well!. Its very neat & it doesn't have that "chunky" knot @ the base

    Method #4 is hands down the best method for me!! Thank you!!
    This was the 3rd tutorial I've watched on box braiding - the other 2 videos used your Method #5 which confused me ... watching you do method #5 made the other videos make sense, lol. But I already fell in love with Method #4 because I dont have to fumble with 3 pieces of hair in 1 hand while adding it to my daughters hair (and I already have a crochet hook)

    Thank you! I seriously learned to braid from you. I’m still a novice and only braid my daughters hair during the summer for protective styling. Your videos have been a game changer. I prepped my hair after watching your video and that saved so much time. I did 50 box braids using the two strand method in 4 hours. Thank you for sharing your techniques.

    I agree with some of the other posters. This is the first tutorial that actually shows in detail how to do this. My daughter has fine hair and after paying over $100 to get it done, they start slipping after a couple days. I believe that I can do it myself using the rubberband method and save bundles of money.

    This is the best tutorial on alternative box braid methods. I'm so tired of paying $70 plus the cost of hair to get my baby hair done. I am determined to learn how to do this myself. I like the 4th method best...crochet method Her hair doesn't do well with rubber bands. The only thing I am gonna do differently is borrow the hair from the 2 synthetic pieces before I even start braiding so I can make all 3 pieces of hair even from the beginning. I think it would be easier for me. Thank you so much! If I can find some pre stretched and pre separated braiding hair I would be GUCCI. I'm certain I can actually do this now.

    Wow! My favorite is the crochet begun on partially braided hair. Why? It LOOKS like the braid is the clients OWN hair! It is the look I strive for when I braid my own, but it is very time consuming to make sure that I achieve that grown from the scalp look. I HATE the "bump" on many box braid styles. Fantastic video/tutorial!

    Thank you sooo much!!!! I just got back from vacation and some of my jumbo box braids started slipping! I was able to follow your tutorial and redo the 1 or 2 bad ones rather than take them all out, wash it, and pay to have it redone!

    I really love and appreciate how detailed your video is. This is my first time doing it myself and it turned out pretty good. Thank you so much. I watched a lot of videos and yours is the best one.

    I love your creative crochet method. I’m doing that one because it looks the most natural.
