I ❤ it! When I box braid my own hair(in the past as I have sisterlocks now) or my daughter's hair I part like that b/c I don't want it to heavy on her head or too full. TBH there are so many ways to part as long as it's neat & looks cute in a ponytail (jmo), I'm with it! It's about what I like and/or the clients like. You rock'd it

Hi, you did a great job. I think the disconnect in your gripping insturction is when you say you lay the hair on top of her hair and separate into three pieces. What are you sperating into three pieces; The braiding hair or the braiding hair and the clients hair?

Yes I want to learn a different way to grip doing my box braids I did them for the 2nd time and it looked good but after I took them out my head was sore I want to learn different grips

Hi I was wondering how to achieve waist length braids without it being too heavy. Last time I got medium box braids that was waist length and it took about 10 packs of hair and it was really full and heavy. Should the parts be spaced out more or should they be larger? What do you recommend?

Ok I have a question. How do you split the hair into 3? Do you do the method where you overlap two strands? If so, do you use the strand that’s folded as the third leg and the other two that aren’t folded to grip the clients hair?
