Do you think doing the mini twist with human hair would be less damaging with synthetic?

I want to do this on my microlocs. Do you think it would work? I tried with Afro Cuban hair and it was rough and my hair was sticking out
Hi! I believe so, since microlocs are much smaller in comparison to traditional locs. I enjoyed this hair way more than typical Marley/afro kinky braiding hair because it doesn’t have that rough, synthetic feel. It’s much softer in my opinion.
How long does this style last?
It still looked great at 3 weeks. I’d go no more than 4.

Hi! You’d need to just get one (with 5 in a pack). But I’d be safe and get another one (and just keep the left overs for another time), because the pack portions are pretty small in my opinion.
I got mine from my local beauty supply, so I was able to get exactly 6 packs, with no extra hair left over. See if your local beauty supply may have them in stock. ❤️

Is this a safe space to share my story? While working from home about the last two years I had been growing out my hair in soft extended twist like yours here.
Last summer, I met a new guy who had locs. He asked me, if my “real hair was short?” When I responded “no”, he then asked why I had “that sh*t” in my hair?!
And he wasn’t the first person to specifically make a negative comment about these twist. My sister made similar comments.
I haven’t worn them since.
Now I’m back working in the office and my hair is chronically braided up

Honestly I think more folks are realizing that there is an unnecessary narrative surrounding textured hair and the “need” for extensions and “protective styles.” While they are certainly fun styling options, they’re not necessities for hair growth, length retention or health. We can simply just wear our hair. 😌💛🤝🏽
