My roblox account got locked can you help me or do you know anyone who can help me because roblox support is not working and won’t help me get it back and it’s been like that for a month now and I’ve been emailing them to no success on getting it back
I think the age verification system is just pretty harmful for roblox in general. I find it very innapropriate that roblox is forcing you to send very sensitive personal information to them to do certain things. I think if they continue pushing it like that the demise of roblox will come. I would understand for voice chat but I don't agree with uploading ugc items. Do you need your parents permission to share a model you made in blender? No
i think it makes sense for UGC. it would suck having to share your information to share a cool hat you made with the platform, but it'd suck even more not having to share this information in order to share a really cool penis you made in four seconds

I noticed that the parental permission pop-up said “CERTAIN ACTIONS”, which most likely means things like changing certain settings, maybe voice chat for younger players (?) etc. I’m guessing this update might target younger children that play Roblox from some actions.
i wiuldnt mind the voice chat for younger pkayers but they shiuld make it so u gotta show the id every month or else u lose ur voice chat priceleges until u show it again, it should also include the parental code thing. I feel like that would be fair but make it so it has to be a different photo everytime, like it wouldnt be allowed to have the same perspective or items in the background

Changing Parental controls Friending users Attempting to Private Message friended users Attempting to Chat in-game Buying anything that requires robux (Including username changes) Changing your Display name. Buying Premium. So if roblox ever makes a Parental Controls system, im guessing the parent will have access to change these settings. If a email is registered to a user under 13, it will be assumed they are the parent, and email them about Parental Controls.
I’m honestly hoping that it still allows you to buy robux without ID, but at least with a proper email confirming it’s you, cause I don’t want to go through all the trouble of verifying an ID just for robux.

I think the parent account would actually be like a 3rd step into hacking an individuals account. If you need verification from a second account with 2 step also enabled, this makes it EVEN HARDER to hack you. So, even if they take your security cookie, if you need verification to do anything in the account, it makes it almost impossible to hack because of the need of both accounts, so it makes it have at least 3 steps to hack you, 2 of which are virtually impossible. (This is, if Roblox does this right and makes it so you need verifications for trades, and large purchases, etc…)
I think the ID numbers are for everything on roblox, not just accounts. I remember an old thing you could do where if you found a roblox shirt you could take the ID number minus 1 and get the image the shirt was made from

The Roblox account system is actually 5% of new players to Roblox and the other 95% of new accounts are alts of people who got banned or want VoiceChat or something.
I remember when parent accounts were a thing. That’s what I had my account “monitored” by when I created mine in 2008. My mom had the parent account. Then they did away with that, and switched to the integrated parental controls, all in one account. Setting your age, etc.

Okay, I want to clear up a few things about Driving Empire. I have been making content on the game for nearly a year now, and have been playing for nearly 3 years, so I want to eliminate any misconceptions here. Lamborghini was removed from the game over one year ago, along with lots of other car games. This was NOT a Driving Empire problem, more so a Roblox problem. Voldex is not the reason players hate the game. It was not all the updates, but rather two, related to gambling, adding in-game cash and robux loot boxes. There was only a small minority of people reporting the game... most of the players were just mildly annoyed. Bugattis, Ferraris, Paganis, Lotuses and Audis were removed from the game because of cease and desist, and Koenigseggs, Zenvos and Maseratis were hidden from the dealership for certain threats of a cease and desist from those companies. And yes, the game has been making off-brand designs for more than 5 months, meaning that a decent amount of cars can avoid these removals. I hope this cleared up any misinformation. Have a good day!

about the Driving Empire situation: it happened before, if other games won't remove the cars then it probably means they faked it. happened with other car's. take a look at greenville for example, they didn't remvoe Audis. Heck they literally updated yesterday with a few Audi cars lol. most likely fake and they want attention.

As much as this is quite a strict implementation, ie an age verification. I think it's only appropriate, as long as Roblox doesn't store data of their user's personal info which could be datamined/backdoored. (which are a mistake of a lot of companies nowadays, by saying privacy but they just "archive" your data... yes even your social media accounts are only archived, not deleted even after the recovery period is over.) Since we all know that Roblox has massive controversies over the years (I'm not saying it's just Roblox, many games out there atleast have issues like these at one point), especially inappropriate stuff even though it's a platform mostly targeted for children. That even the main company doesn't really care if even one of the minigame developers are also those types of "predators"... And now after they announced that they are putting a dating app on the platform... That's pretty much going to cause these incidents to increase. So I can really agree (from a software dev standpoint) that they should 100% add an age verification, and parental controls in order to atleast minimize or offset this risk. But in-fact, this is still inadequate... I would honestly suggest more strict measures to mini-game devs applying or users restrictions that are adults. Ie. A rudimentary background check for mini-game devs and monitoring adult user's chat in-game.

Most new accounts being created now are bots. I remember being in a game that was a live count down to the first billionth roblox account, where you could see all new accounts profiles and usernames created in real time. It was obvious to everyone that at least 9/10 of them all shared the same pattern of name and were obviously just bots.

I've had a much worse bug that's afflicted my account for over half a decade now that the Roblox staff will not solve. Basically I made a roblox account in 2011 when I was 6 years old, and ever since about 5-6 years ago, it set my age to 9 years old, not even the same birth date. Every year since then, possibly excluding one, the birth year has gone up by one. Permanently keeping me under 13 years of age, the age required to set it back and have access to more Roblox features. I'm 18 now in university, and this has happened for long enough that the birthday is in 2014! 3 years after the account was created. Because of Roblox's extreme COPA measures, even though I am my account's own parent (both emails are the exact same), Roblox will not fix the account and just sent a copy paste message back. Anyone have a solution?

about the Driving Empire situation: it happened before, if other games won't remove the cars then it probably means they faked it. happened with other car's.

As much as this is quite a strict implementation, ie an age verification. I think it's only appropriate, as long as Roblox doesn't store data of their user's personal info which could be datamined/backdoored. (which are a mistake of a lot of companies nowadays, by saying privacy but they just "archive" your data... yes even your social media accounts are only archived, not deleted even after the recovery period is over.)
Since we all know that Roblox has massive controversies over the years (I'm not saying it's just Roblox, many games out there atleast have issues like these at one point), especially inappropriate stuff even though it's a platform mostly targeted for children. That even the main company doesn't really care if even one of the minigame developers are also those types of "predators"... And now after they announced that they are putting a dating app on the platform... That's pretty much going to cause these incidents to increase.
So I can really agree (from a software dev standpoint) that they should 100% add an age verification, and parental controls in order to atleast minimize or offset this risk. But in-fact, this is still inadequate... I would honestly suggest more strict measures to mini-game devs applying or users restrictions that are adults. Ie. A rudimentary background check for mini-game devs and monitoring adult user's chat in-game.

Also there is a feature known as screen time for devices on iOS only i believe and I can say it’s basically the exact same. It’s shuts down you’re device for a certain set time until permission granted again

Most new accounts being created now are bots. I remember being in a game that was a live count down to the first billionth roblox account, where you could see all new accounts profiles and usernames created in real time. It was obvious to everyone that at least 9/10 of them all shared the same pattern of name and were obviously just bots.

I've had a much worse bug that's afflicted my account for over half a decade now that the Roblox staff will not solve. Basically I made a roblox account in 2011 when I was 6 years old, and ever since about 5-6 years ago, it set my age to 9 years old, not even the same birth date. Every year since then, possibly excluding one, the birth year has gone up by one. Permanently keeping me under 13 years of age, the age required to set it back and have access to more Roblox features. I'm 18 now in university, and this has happened for long enough that the birthday is in 2014! 3 years after the account was created. Because of Roblox's extreme COPA measures, even though I am my account's own parent (both emails are the exact same), Roblox will not fix the account and just sent a copy paste message back. Anyone have a solution?
