- Today I am sharing what I packed my kids for their school lunches this week.
Hello and welcome! My name is Lindsay and I am a wife and stay at home mom of four living in Eastern Canada. It looks like the kids all had a good week with their lunches, little bits here and there left but they all seem to get back to it a bit later and like you said, sometimes the other kids will eat the leftovers. Great Friday Treats and how fun for Audrey to bring home an extra one from someone in class. I'm glad Emily has gotten through the sleep set back, that's so hard for the whole family. I am always happy to get to see the weather outside and the pretty snow, Spring is here finally and everything is bright green which is nice for us as we don't frequently see much green, everything turns brown pretty quickly. We had a nice Easter, as I'm sure you all did too, a bunny hop sounds like fun. Thanks for sharing your time with us this week.
Hi Tania, the kids had a great Easter. It was simple and fun! They all did well with their lunches this week. Since Daisy had her surgery, she can't have any people food at all. I'm noticing more food goes in the garbage now. But the kids are usually pretty good for finishing up whatever they bring home. Our snow is pretty well melted here now. We put the net back on the trampoline and the kids were out there all day today. Have a great week! Also, I hope you are recovering well! 😊😊

I'm trying to get better about taking my lunch to work instead of buying it. I was doing good for a while but lately I've gotten in the habit of eating out for both breakfast and lunch--not good for me and not good for my wallet! I'm thinking about taking some inspiration from you and maybe packing some non-traditional lunches/breakfast for lunch. Glad Emily is sleeping better and Daisy is doing well.
Hey Alison, so happy I could provide a bit of inspiration! It's hard to come up with lunch ideas all the time. My husband takes a lunch from every day too. Have a great weekend. 😊

I have been binge watching your school lunch videos. I absolutely love them! I love how your kids are good eaters. I was wondering how you decide what to pack them for lunch. Do you ask them what kind of lunches they want for the week or do you just make whatever is on hand?
Thanks, Victoria. I'm so glad you're enjoying them! I've worked hard at making my kids good eaters lol. As for lunches, I do a bit of both! I will often ask them the night before, what they want in their lunch. Sometimes we'll make a weekly menu. Some times I just make them what I have on hand, I know what they like, and we're often just rotating through the same items. I try and change it up when I can, and I love packing them fruits/veggies. 😊

Hey Ashlee, she has recently lost two lunch bags... 🙄 But she did find one, it was just in the hallway at school near her classroom. Glad she atleast found one... The other one hasn't turned up yet. Have a great weekend. 😊
