Try #2 at commenting. My first one vanished. I love these videos Lindsay.. you always manage to have a good variety in the kids lunches. I guess it helps too , when the kids say what they would like to have for lunch , and also pick out the snacks they want . Most likely they will eat it all if it’s snacks they pic out . I always get a little chuckle out of Emily..I love her little chattering in the background and her enthusiasm to see what’s left in the kids lunch boxes . She is quite entertaining …😊🦋😉. Kiki

It’s ok that he wanted to take a sandwich every day, I just graduated back in may of 2024 and I had a job but sadly lost it so soon after starting it, and I worked for a week and the only thing I would take is a sandwich carrots and grapes. I’m not a picky eater but that’s the only thing I would eat out in about because it was easy for me to pack. When I was in school, I would buy almost every day but towards the end before I graduated I would start packing because I wouldn’t eat at school, and I packed a lot more than sandwich’s when I was in school because I had a longer lunch break. I was afraid that I wasn’t eating as much as I should because I kept losing weight, but I started eating at school again, the only vegetable I eat raw is carrots, and I don’t like lettuce so ever time I have to ask for no lettuce. I have Autism so I think part of the reason of me not eating a lot in school is because there was a lot of people and I’m not really a fan of a lot of people in the same room as me, so the last year of high school was very hard for me because I noticed I was getting a little bit more pickier with the school lunch but I would still try and eat it, and the only way I would eat carrots is with ranch so if there was no ranch left at the school I wouldn’t eat it, and my mom was getting mad because I wouldn’t eat my vegetables, but I tried I just can’t eat it that good without ranch, it feels like I’m getting more pickier as I’m getting older because I used to like lettuce but now I don’t, I used to like a lot of things but now I don’t, but I still eat it too make my mom happy as I’m still living with her and trying to find a job that gives me a chance.

Jacob seems easy going with what is in his lunch just like his Dad 😊 ( and liking the hot sauce too 😂 ). It’s been really rainy & windy here in Southern BC too 🌸

My boy is 9 and he is forever forgetting his water bottles at school 😂 I need to get to the school and raid the lost and found bin lol 😂 Winter time is awful lol I swear he looses all his mitts too

I remember when my boys got their grade 7 needles! They later told me they were the last in line just so they could miss more class time-haha. Your lunches looked great-grilled cheese- something about grilled cheese sandwiches-so comforting. My youngest thought they were called 'Girl cheese'. Those brownies looked divine. Hope you will make a Christmas baking video-if you have time- those are my favourite. Emily is such a happy kid!!! Too cute-love her little chatter

Lunches looked delicious! I’m sure the kids were happy to have an extra day off last week. And I’m sure you and Emily were happy to have them home an extra day too. I love these videos. Awesome lunch ideas, it's always nice when the kids like a sandwich so much they are willing to take it on repeat like Jacob did. I don't think the kids missed having a Friday candy bar treat, I'd say homemade cookies and brownie are way better. Everything looks yumm for supper. And with Emily helping out in the kitchen makes cooking a lot easier. Cozy meals are the best this time of year. I always make fried rice with yesterdays rice.

Wow three needles in one day! Jacob is a trooper and he didn't seem any the worse for wear. Great lunches this week, as always. We are having another wet and grey day here, I don't know how many in a row now that we've had, but it seems never ending. I must say November is my least favourite month. I put cabbage roll casserole in the slow cooker for tonight, it sounds good for a chilly wet day.

Hi Lindsay 👋 😊 Great lunches as usual. Never anything fancy here either. I finally tried the GV eggrolls and we like them, very tasty. Those soft sugar cookies you had bought on the 50% rack at Walmart a few videos ago, omg are those ever good 😋 It's mild here, yesterday was 9C and it's 4C this morning no rain but it was windy last night. Have you started to decorate outside for Christmas. Our lights are up before it gets cold. Have a great week 😊

Love those checkered basket liners! I use them around here as well. A case of 2000 at the Wholesale Club for $35 - lasts me for quite awhile.

I't is the crust for us although I've heard of heel and end piece. I do not understand (not just you but many) why anyone puts a good and creamy mac and cheese in the oven. Not me, no way. I say eat it at it's creamiest point. Big thing in the south too to bake it, double cook it. I"ve never had one yet that I didn't think a stovetop one beat out hands down. Or takign and eating it at that point. Jmo lol. I guess to simply keep it warm I could see it but that's it. Double cooking anything to me is both a waste of time and dries things out or overcooks them. Of course I'd say casseroles and such things started out as a way to make something ahead and then rewarm it and long before microwaves and other things, but if no need to, I don't see the point. But then that's just me/my opinion. Great video.

I have to laugh. My daughter was dismantling her crib at a year and a bit plus old and could get out over or through.. I'd like to know the secret of how you keep an older child contained in such and see such a crib. Seriously. I knew at that point I may as well put her in a bed lol. Now she is in her late thirties and still i s hard on a bed lol. I'm old. Clearly. :D

Yummy suppers. And I'm very impressed that you peel the potatoes with a knife-that's the way my mom does it. I have to use a peeler-no way I can peel with a knife without tons of the potato being lost. Emily is such a happy kid! Must be so much fun having her with you all day (but naps are nice too ).

I would say you did pretty good in this grocery haul..especially considering the prices on everything these days. Gotta love those pink reduced tags . It reminded me of when we chatted in superstore and you said the kids keep a keen eye out for all those pink reduced tags. You will have some pretty savvy shoppers there as they grow up. Walmart has some great deals too when they put out their reduced items . Almost without exception , their items are never outdated or near the BB date .. they simply have a little bend in them or a crinkle in the packaging . I have to say Lindsay… all those meals looked amazing. I am for sure going to try your recipe for the hamburger soup and the potato soup also ! Got a little chuckle when you asked the kids what their favourite meal was and Emily’s response ; popsicles and pop corn!! She is so cute . I must check out some of the recipe books you get your recipes from…they have some really delicious recipes in them. What a great video, everything looked scrumptious. I am a soup girl through and through as is my husband, he loves it when I tell him soup is on the menu, so of course both soups you made are soups we would love. I was thinking that the potato soup would be good with a little chopped ham or bacon on top of the bowl. I love slow cooker meals as well, they make life so much easier, I wish I could get my daughter to understand that a little work putting everything in it in the morning means everything is done when you get home from work and are tired. Everything looks absolutely delicious! I have Jennifer’s cookbooks too. I will have to make the chicken casserole. It looks really good. We love soup here too. I always make a big batch so we can have leftovers. Soup is always better the next day or two. Emily was precious helping you cook. I love seeing the kids help you. I hope you have a great weekend ❤

I loved this video, you did a great job with groceries this week, lots of deals and some nice goodies. You'll have to let me know how you like that mop, I've been thinking of getting one like it, but haven't quite yet. I picked up a mop off of temu and don't care for it at all, maybe it's just mopping that I dislike, LOL. We watched Mackenzie today, it was a long day filled with quite a few temper tantrums, but we got through it, I think she is heading back to school tomorrow, she'll be happy about that. We came home to no dinner, so I made some turkey gravy, and added some sliced deli turkey, then served it over toast with cranberry sauce on the side, it sure was delicious and only took 10 minutes. Thanks for sharing another great haul with us, and I hope you are having a wonderful week so far.

Isn't it funny when we get older and have homes of our own buying a mop is a 'special treat' for ourselves. What would our 20 year old self think? hahaha. I too buy new mops and think it's a treat and I can't wait to try it out-vacuum cleaners too! My 20 year old self would be rolling her eyes!!! Anyway, great deals-if I ever see that pickle salad on sale I'm going to pick it up-it looks yummy! The tortellini looks so good too-Your husband made a wise choice I think. I'm just sitting here making my grocery list for this week on flipp. I do the same thing, look for what's on sale and menu plan from my pantry/sale items and what needs used up in the fridge. Have a great day and happy bargain hunting!
