- Welcome to another lunch video. This week we had a bit of confusion with the new lunch ordering system at our schools. It was a short week as well. I hope this video inspires you to pack a lunch from home. Lunches don't have to be fancy or complicated. Just pack what you're kids like and what you know they'll eat.

Good afternoon! Love your lunch videos. I find them very interesting even though my boys are adults now. I think part of it is being able to see the kids ❤.. I’m sure you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I’m looking forward to ours. I’m hoping I can have the boys and their significant others for turkey. It all depends on their schedule. We are on our second dinner this afternoon (Jacob will be on his third lol) . We went to my inlaws on Saturday and going to my sisters this afternoon. Jacob had turkey dinner at his friends house yesterday too. Have a great week! 😊

Jacob is so lucky to be able to see Chris Hadfield!!1 Wow!!! Maybe Jacob can tell him about his SPACE TOMATOES!! All your lunches looked great-too bad kids didn't have an appetite for some of them-that happens! Soo cute when Emily asked if she could eat it! hahahaha. I hope you guys had a lovely Thanksgiving! We do a huge family one at my mom's on the Saturday-that way everyone can come. And then we do our small family one on Sunday. Then Monday is for movies and leftovers! And now Halloween is around the corner. I remember when my boys were younger-by now they were so exited about costumes
@@lilyelizabeth9080 I was thinking about his space tomatoes too!! His field trip is this Friday! We had a great Thanksgiving, it was busy though. Your Thanksgiving sounds like a perfect weekend! I love the idea of movies and leftovers on Monday.
I think the kids are decided on costumes (except for Emily) for Halloween. I like Halloween, but when it's done I can't wait for all the candy to be gone! Lol they get so much!

That is going to be an awesome experience for Jacob..can’t wait to hear how it went and how much he enjoyed it !! Sounds to me like the lunch program has a few kinks to get worked out. Having to put in an order for your kids lunch two weeks ahead of time sure can make things difficult . Especially as you never know if your child will be sick as Jacob was the last time you ordered his and he missed out on having it . Thursdays mix up kinda shows the kinks in the program ; one kiddo had a lunch from the program and one didn’t! Oh well…things will get smoothed out in time. How is Gingers potty training going ? She sure is one sweet little pup ! Training a pup can be challenging this time of year with the colder weather ..but we found when training our pup that the cooler weather just made him do his business that much faster as he wanted back in to the warmth of the house !! Hope the kiddos had a lovely long weekend and enjoyed playing with Ginger ! 😊👍🦋. Kiki

You’ve introduced me to Naan which I knew about but you made look appealing. Also, frozen chicken patties are in my freezer because of you. I guess I watched so many of your videos that these two food items are now part of my meal time choices. Thanks for the help!

The lunch system seems off. Not set up very well.

We were supposed to go to my brother's place today for Thanksgiving supper but he came down with Covid so we're staying home.
I made cabbage rolls, homemade biscuits, and pumpkin 🎃 pie 🥧.

@@canadiankabingurl9782 Hi Dyann. Yes, they have some kinks to work out for sure with the lunch system. Hopefully it will get better. We don't order much anyway, but nice to have the option from time to time. That's too bad that you're brother is sick, there's alot on the go! Cabbage rolls sound delicious though. It's been cool here too, we turned our pellet stove on this weekend for the first time this season. Have a great week! ❤️

Well, your lunches all looked great, but the kids just weren't hungry, a little strange but sometimes it happens, just so weird on Pizza Day that none of them ate it. Hoping that ordering school lunches will get easier. How exciting for Jacob and his field trip, something exciting to look forward to. I loved hearing little Emily chime in during one of the kids lunch box emptying by saying "I'll eat it", she is so cute. We had to cancel our trip as I came down sick, tried to get to see a doctor but ended up with a telemedic appointment, which I hate because they are just guessing by what you tell them it feels like. I'm on an antibiotic but still feel like I need to actually see a doctor, unfortunately in California if you have even one covid symptom they won't see you, ugh. Hoping you had a nice Thanksgiving, and that you enjoyed the long weekend. How is Ginger doing? It's always a little rough with a new puppy. Thanks for sharing Lindsay, I always enjoy these videos.
@@TheMtggrl I'm sorry to hear that you're under the weather, that's too bad that you had to cancel your trip. That makes it so tough that you can't see a doctor if you have even one covid symptom!! I'm so sick of covid!
Ginger is doing well. I keep reminding myself that this stage won't last forever! She's super sweet, but very busy! Lol we're trying to get her potty trained, she's doing pretty good so far, but it's alot of work. But it will be worth it. I hope you are feeling better soon, Tania. ❤️❤️
I noticed you used the ends of the bread for one of the grilled cheese. My kiddo won’t eat the crust but if you flip it so the outside is inside they have no idea they have the ends.

That lunch-ordering system sounds very confusing! Hopefully it will get sorted out as time goes by. When I made naan pizza recently, I had the opposite problem--I undercooked it, because I was worried I would burn it. I'll try it again at some point. I hope Ginger is settling in to the family.
@@alisondavidow1721 the lunch program IS confusing! Hopefully they can iron out the kinks in the future. My kids didn't get lunch the day they ordered, but Ben got leftover lunch on Friday.... And it was fish cakes, which I would never guess Ben would even like!! Lol

Lunches are great as always. The school have a really weird system to order lunch in advance. Do you also have to pay in advance? 2 of your kids didn't get the ordered lunch. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.. Greetz from the 🇳🇱
@@Dolce_Far_Niente yes, they make you pay in advance as well. I can't figure out why. I ordered 6 lunches and they got 3 out of the 6. Hopefully they can get it sorted out.

@@StacyDallas-m9u they only offer two options for lunch each day (one meat and one meatless option). I guess if your child doesn't like the options you'd have to pack them a lunch. We have to order in advance.
