Great non-strike for the trad martial arts :) You just make sure to get to the point where your training works for you. And the same is for all the arts out there: But you'll never know unless you dispel your ignorance by testing it.
Alright, this is actual pressure testing, as I can see that the guy is giving you real resistance and it looks like he has a pretty fair grappling foundation so he is 100% capable of defeating the average person. You've been recommended to me by Dan and I 100% intend to train with you one day, hopefully not too far in the future.
U really should use inside elbow control more, it allows u to close and they can’t punch u from there, and it’s really easy to hit, I believe u can catch it from most round punches
Great indeed. First time seeing honest aikido training. Liked seeing atemi at work to keep distance, and principle of keeping your center. Tough to get you thrown. I think aikido principles do work, even many techniques seem quite useless. Nice kotegaeshi thou.
Seriously, I'd love to see more haters comments to your video! 😄 the so called "critical thinking" a-la RUclips i.e. "think how to just criticize" My top list based on more popular channels: 1) "This is not Aikido" [based on the assumption that if it works it can't be Aikido] 2) "These are not real attacks" [because Aikido is supposed to be tested only against immortal killer cyborgs who are trying to kill you or it doesn't count. Friendly sparring/rolling common in other arts won't cut it because of point 1] 3) "He's is not using ONLY Aikido" [a corollary of the previous point 2 because, of course, Aikido is the only martial art that has to be tested in a vacuum. However, if it's only Aikido see point 1] 4) "That's Judo, not Aikido" [a corollary of point 3, because Aikido never works but by practicing it one automatically learns Judo, karate, and all other budo... pretty cool ... we should brand Aikido like that]
Now try this on an actual real fighter that's actually trying to beat you, and not some jabroni jobber school buddy you paid with pizza and beer to do this video.

Great non-strike for the trad martial arts :)
You just make sure to get to the point where your training works for you.
Wasn't he using someJudo??
All the names of the pins and throws are listed in the video, and it's all aikido techniques
Deleted by YT yet again.......
What got deleted?
@@DanTheWolfman because we live in a pu$$ y generation where soy boy culture is praised the rest censored
Rokas can watch this and shut his trap , because that was real resistance sparring .
If you think that you've never sparred in your life
I wouldn't call it real ressistance if your opponent tries to point punch you
so sparring with a guy who obviously does not fight, pressure testing? LOL
Seriously, I'd love to see more haters comments to your video! 😄 the so called "critical thinking" a-la RUclips i.e. "think how to just criticize"
My top list based on more popular channels:
1) "This is not Aikido" [based on the assumption that if it works it can't be Aikido]
2) "These are not real attacks" [because Aikido is supposed to be tested only against immortal killer cyborgs who are trying to kill you or it doesn't count. Friendly sparring/rolling common in other arts won't cut it because of point 1]
3) "He's is not using ONLY Aikido" [a corollary of the previous point 2 because, of course, Aikido is the only martial art that has to be tested in a vacuum. However, if it's only Aikido see point 1]
4) "That's Judo, not Aikido" [a corollary of point 3, because Aikido never works but by practicing it one automatically learns Judo, karate, and all other budo... pretty cool ... we should brand Aikido like that]
yea I get those on the fb aikido groups på by aikido people themselves lol
@@Martialarts1on1 yes, they come from both sides. Isn't that interesting?
Utter BS
No real strikes...
No real opponent...
Dude you are pretending to be Mr T lol. STFU
Now try this on an actual real fighter that's actually trying to beat you, and not some jabroni jobber school buddy you paid with pizza and beer to do this video.
Spot on
This is so ridiculously fake guys… what are these comments.
What martial arts you train Mr Pedro?
@@Martialarts1on1 I’m a beginner and I can admit that, but are you saying you want smoke with the people I train with?
You can pick, BJJ, Muay Thai, or Wrestling.
@@Martialarts1on1 I can guarantee you that they’ll be a bit more of a challenge than this guy you were taking on here. Master vs Master.
@@pedrovalentino6684 lol how old are you man…. Let me explain, this is pure aikido in a light sparr. When I sparr boxing it looks like boxing, when Muay Thai than Muay Thai and same with SW. I’ve done martial arts 20 years I know the difference between arts and a fight.
@@Martialarts1on1 My bad I thought you were going in a whole different direction with that. I hear you, but for the term “pressure testing” I expect a great deal of resistance (not a light spar). Not necessarily full power striking to cause injury, but enough to be close to a real situation. And/or at least very competitive grappling.
pressure testing with someone that acting like he fighting back, that a scammy move my friend
Maybe the guy that you fought should be intern for DK Yoo
