This is the Toyota Prius, and yes, it’s the second time I have made a film about it. Two Reasons. Firstly the car is really does need two reviews, and secondly...well, nobody watched the first one! #Embarrassing.

So here is the short version, the bits, I didn't get to share about the car the first time. And despite the audience of The Grand Tour all laughing when Clarkson, Hammond and May talked about it, I still think its a lovely car and I will stand by my opinion, it is - really THAT good.
The only negative other than the car being really quite expensive is the road noise. Where the Prius is silent and amazing at slow speeds, it makes it all the more annoying when at speed. That said, it’s probably still quieter than some BMWs.
The Nav is good, if a little jerky and slow but the pretend leather is very enjoyable.
My advice. Drive one and see how addictive the electric noises are.

I don't understand people saying the Prius isn't fast.
I just bought a 2018 Prius 4 and as I was merging onto the freeway I set the cruise control to accelerate and forgot to monitor it. As I was looking over some of the new tech when I just happened to notice, because it wasn't making a sound, that I was travelling ONE HUNDRED AND SIX MILES AN HOUR!
I'm 64 and the fastest I've ever driven was when I got a ticket for going 90+ in a 65mph zone - also in a Prius (2004) because it didn't feel like I was going fast. Another time, there is an onramp to the freeway near me that is actually on a steep incline. More than once I have caught myself accelerating to almost 90mph before I reach the top of the hill! (I live in a rural area so traffic, even on the freeway is pretty light.)
Seriously, every time the car I do this it's because ride istso smooth I don't notice. The Pruis for me is more than plenty fast.

My Prius is now 5 year old, I have owned it for just over 3 years. Absolutely love it. I think the looks are wonderful, but I had to grow into the look. Best car I ever owned, and I had a few. On a 50 mile single run I have managed 96.4 uk mpg, over its 5 year life it is averaging 70.2 uk mpg. Extremely comfortable, better ride I think with optional 15” wheels.
MPG: Did you do 56?? - My 2004 Prius II drinks that much on the Highway!
Prius IV -with caution of course- is really capable of 94 or a bit more, I tested it myself.
-- But consumption is not such an important factor for the pocket of the owner. We can gain the big money on the maintenance and the durability of this structure.
The only thing to do : DO NOT Sell it after just a few years...!

For pedestrians, and in this case, horses LOL, the Prius emits an artificial sound so that they can hear you approaching.

but its quirky and cute when you drivve one.
