One of my favorite John Denver songs ever. Thanks.
This was a huge hit for John, bringing him great success in 1975. It was CMA Country Music Song of the Year, also album of the Year, and John himself Country Artist of the Year for 1975 too all on the strength of this great album and song.
In common with several of his classic songs like Leavin On a Jet Plane, Goodbye Again, and Follow Me, this song was inspired by John's own life experience of being away from home and his beautiful Rockies all too often because of his great success. He often wrote of coming home, having to leave his home and being fae from home and his loved ones. Home and family is what he longed for but success took him away from the joy and love of his family for months on end, and it was this longing that inspired so many of his great songs.
Thank you for sharing it has been decades since I heard this song. so heartwarming.
Hi guys, thanks for airing this John Denver song. It was the 1975 country song of the year. It's a wonderful song, it just flows, and shows John's voice at its best.
Take care guys, best wishes, allan, from Scotland.
I love Kirti's wonderful smile.
John Denver sings beautiful poetry.
Takes me back to my childhood and listening to it on the long family drives. John's music has always been inspirational and always calmed life's stormy seas for me. Thank you for your wonderful reaction to this song.
It’s difficult to chose, but I’d have to say this is my favorite John Denver song. It gave me a lot of comfort when I was away from home serving in the Air Force in the early 80’s.
John Denver had such a pure voice, strong and clear; and he was an amazing musician and song writer. So sad that we lost him so early. His music is part of the sound track of my life. Thank you for your thoughtful review. I'm a new subscriber to your channel - from Denver, Colorado in the United States. I'm so enjoying your reactions! Be well and safe.
I love his voice. Nice analysis and reaction. 💜
Great song from a great singer. Home is where the heart is.
Of all his massive hits, I love this one the most.
Me too.
Hi folks, this is a lovely song, it just flows, telling you a story of getting home. If you listen carefully in the background is the superb Dick Kniss playing the bass fiddle, keeping the beat of this masterpiece, wonderful music at its best. Peace everyone. ✌
Now I always think of my long absent Grandmother when I hear this song, with a tear in my eye. Back Home again is soooo ignored today and Country Roads is waaaayyyy overplayed to the point of nausea. For me this is John Denver's greatest song.
"And your mother called last Friday, 'Sunshine' made her cry" - this is a reference to another John Denver song, "Sunshine On My Shoulders".
This song gives me shivers
A lovely 💎 of a 🎶 JD 💎 Beautiful reaction team E 🍨🧁 Have a wonderful day 🏝️
Home with his Annie after being on the road.
So many JD songs to choose from. He recorded around 300 and wrote over 200 of them, so a lot of choice.
I just subbed last night and just watched an artist I have loved for over 4 decades. No experience like driving through Colorado listening to Rocky Mountain High. But, I love Carrie Underwood too and hope you will react to her ," The Champion " ft. Ludacris. Thank you
Would like to hear 'El Paso' by Marty Robbins please.
Ayyye can y’all do
“I wonder”, “home” or “no problemz” by Nick Nittoli HES a dope rapper!!! #nicknittolireaction
