well the chipset has to be fast, like on my OnePlus 12 I have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 it's integrated with generated AI so it's capable of running that large language You can't use some random chipset and do it The chips that I have to be fast and quick enough

My two biggest expectations were some basic things
1.Number Row on keyboard
2.Clipboard implementation into the Dynamic Island yet none was spoken about ☹️😠

I don't understand the critical judgements against apple an Intelligence. How I see it is that companies will approach this differently, and they'll add a feature that people will find important and praise, and other company's will follow suit. There are things that Apple does that just makes the user experience fun; not saying Google/Samsung and others don't, but from my experience the implementation has been clunky.
Competition is good, as it will make company's listen to what works and then implement their own spin on it. We win in the end.
I've been using Apple products since the early days of college back in 2006, going back-and-forth with different kinds of smartphones from iPhone to Android and from Mac to PC over the years, etc. This year, I decided to start slowly migrating most of my computing and other smart devices I have over to Apple in the next year or so; and I must say that, from what I've seen in this year's WWDC event, this is probably going to be the best time to make a full-on switch. I've also discussed getting my parents to possibly switch from PC and other smart devices they have over to Apple due to the simplicity of the UI as they get older. With the newly redesigned Siri and the introduction of Apple Intelligence, this would significantly improve my parent's schedules, notes, efficiency, etc!

And I just bought my iPhone 15 plus few months ago.
But don't worry. These new features are probably going to become obsolete like 3D touch anyways. I don't see most people being able to remember all the things they can do with AI. I have ChatGPT plus and I hate how it won't let me pause for a few seconds within my questions. The new Siri is not any better.
@@blakelmjThe whole point (and approach of Apple) with their A.I. features, is that it’s integrated in everything and not just a separate app like with ChatGPT. In what universe will Apple just abandon A.I. after carefully crafting it all this time and now introducing it? Are you high? Lol
@@blakelmjIf you are talking about pausing when using the voice/audio option, yes, you can pause. You can actually pause for as long as you want. You have to hold down the circle on the screen and just let go when you are done speaking. I’m not sure if this is what you meant, but I hope it helps. :)
I am a steadfast Android user and no amount of pressure can sway me. Android has consistently pushed the boundaries of innovation, and I am impressed with how Google has seamlessly incorporated these enhancements. As a result, I will remain loyal to Android. While this may be welcome news for iOS enthusiasts, Android users have enjoyed these features for years, and Google's implementation on their Pixel devices is unparalleled ✨😎
trust me, for experience: switching from android to iOS feels like a downgrade
As it stands at this very moment, my upgrades will be to the Apple Watch X or 10 and the newest AirPods Pro and likely the iPhone 16!

Whenever iOS 18 will be available for older iPhones we will continue using Apple products, when Apple stops updates for older hardware we will stop using all our Apple products

I was already considering updating to an iPhone 16 Pro Max this year just for the screen size (currently using a 14 Pro), but I’d love to have access to all the AI features as well
I was going to get an iPhone 16 Pro Max anyway but these new features are great I have wanted these for a long time
I did the update on my iPad, so if anything bugs out too bad I’ll just use my phone until it gets fixed with a later patch. Really love the separate passwords app.
I hate the toolbar at the bottom , I wish they could remove it or hide it
If there’s no extra charge for the satellite iMessage / texting that’s huge.

You got this summary put together very quickly. Honestly I wasn't expecting any hardware announcements, so I wasn't surprised or disappointed. I will wait for 18 until it's released in the fall, though. I'm not in that big a hurry. No Apple Intelligence on my iMac, looks like. I wonder if Sequoia will be supported at all on it? It's the last 27" from 2019. I won't get a 24", the screen is too small. I'll have it on my iPad Pro and Macbook Pro anyway.

Because you need more DRAM which older iPhone models don’t have. The old models literally don’t have the hardware capabilities to use it

I am a multi ecosystem user and I am happy for these improvements . Both ecosystems are coming to meet at the middle. To be honest what we are missing from both sides is serious competition on the battery capacity side . We should already have a solid 3 day phone right now .

Apple did a great job! The keynote addresses are done at a high-quality level. I do not use beta software. I rely on watching RUclips videos like yours to see what is going on and how the development process is taking shape. I do install the public release as soon as it is available. After looking at the iPad compatibility and what is available on each model I do believe I am going to upgrade my iPad from the iPad Pro 2018 model which is the A 12 X.

If I don't want Chat GPT on my iPhone at all, can it be disabled all together and can I still use Siri without being forced to use Chat GPT while asking Siri questions?.
I'm sure you can disable it completely in settings if you want to. Most of the features are on device but you can also ask Chat GPT questions and Siri will ask for your permission to allow your data to Chat GPT. I'm pretty you will also be able to always allow Chat GPT so Siri won't bother people who want to use it with asking permission every time. Atleast that's what I gathered from the keynote.
I think this will be used as before the browser. When Siri could not reply it offered to use search in the browser in the topic now it can use ChatGPT and answer immediately so you don’t have to open lot of articles about it
But ChatGPT will not be used for personal Information example if you ask “ how many pictures I have about my mom “
But when you ask “how to cook rice “ it will use ChatGPT because this information is not in your phone

There’s still so many things you can’t do. I want a volume mixer to be able to adjust volume and ringer separately, adjust video volume on call so it’s not super quiet, etc. You can’t even loop a video on iPhone
Just get a Samsung and stop complaining then simple appreciate the small things📌
You can already do this in settings, I have my ringer set to a fixed level so whenever I use the volume buttons it doesnt affect the ringer or alarm volume. You can do the same. Or maybe you wanted something else.

I am duly impressed by many of the new features. I haven't been this excited since I first tried MacOS X beta. And I am not at all irritated by Apple being late to the party on some of these features. I'm certain they'll improve upon AI like it's nobody's business. They weren't the first with an MP3 player.

Mine to be blame as its a beta but just sharing… only bug that bugs me after installing IOS 18 beta 1 is that both my banking apps wont work due to prompted “ Runtime tampering “ detected. :( Hope Apple will settle this on their next update or soon.

I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and I always get all of the developer’s Betas. But, as of this moment IOS 18 is not available.
It takes a bit sometimes have to restart your phone or log back in online. It’s on my pro max 13 can’t use anything except for wallpaper very limited right now
Still not a patch on Samsung or pixel AI, always bought iPhone til I tried a pixel and it is so much better

anyone think we’re going down the whole “Cloud Computing” road again? except this time it is called “AI”. Now, everything anyone does is called “AI” and just like the Internet lost its life, now algorithms are being replaced with the term AI.
If Apple is so adamant about saving the planet, and reducing e-waste, why didn't they make AI available to more devices? Won't this encourage people to dump otherwise good phones just to get the latest features. I see a conflict of interest here.

It may make iphone a bit more appealing for Android users to switch over. They definitely won't be loosing as much switching over and will gain more privacy. I am considering upgrading my Note10 plus to iphone 16PM. Never thought I'd say that before as I've been a Samsung user for over 10+ years 😆
And iOS gets more like Android - and that's a good thing don't get me wrong. I jumped from Android to iOS 3 years ago - some of the features I've missed are finally coming to over to iOS.
Once Vision Pro hits Canada id say its gonna be somewhere around $5500 plus another $700+ for Apple Care just for the base model at least....i expect a whopping 500 sales nationwide for that shit...Dont buy it from Best Buy, they dont allow returns on opened headsets here. 😅👌🏻
