- God is with you even in the midst of the most challenging of circumstances. Esther Fleece, author of No More Faking Fine: Ending the Pretending, talks about how declaring that things aren't "fine" to God allows you to walk in freedom.
You can find her book on our store at: bit.ly/2RewJSi
She shares her story of a challenging childhood with emotionally abusive and absent parents, reaching the need to find a deeper faith, learning to ask God the hard questions through lamenting, and the power of community in the seasons of lament.
This is amazing! I lost my dad two years ago. My mom passed in 1997. I feel like an orphan and I love what I heard. God loves being in the midst of brokenness. This is such a blessing!! I love what you are saying. Thank you!
Good is good,He knows how to fix brokenness, hurt, rejection and the outcast,I am ever grateful to Him.
Beautifully said!
What I needed to hear! Thank you all
hope each one of us be really honest with God with everything. Hope your message is conveyed to everyone.
Amen! Thank you for this heartfelt message! :) Let's continue to pour our hearts to God! :) Thank you for sharing your testimony! God bless you brothers and sisters!
What a great, great podcast today!!!!! I loved it. I've been faking my smile, my life for years!!!! I need to get that book. I have major abandonment issues with my family & deep hurt from their bad choices that has affected my life. Many days I feel trapped & overwhelmed...but God has ALWAYS been faithful, even when I'm not. Thank you for real messages on real topics....not everyone has a happy "Christian" family. It's really crazy what happens behind closed doors.
We're so glad this message met you where you are. That's a big reason we're here - to remind listeners that we're not alone in our journeys. A Loving and caring Father He is.

Wow, what a brave beautiful spirit you are💛. I can relate to so many things your speaking of about your life experience and I wish I could hug you and tell you how much joy you bring into this world by sharing your testimony of God's unwavering love and grace. God bless you! Your so beautifully made. Thank you for sharing your story!
This has helped me understand and process the hurt and grief in my parents as well as in myself. Thank you so much for teaching God's nearness in the midst of all of our brokenness.
He needs to stop interrupting her. He stopped a strong point she was making. Grrrr.... thankfully I read her book and know the learning lesson.
Cry me a river.
Donald Nederman Do you know her?
@@misswinnie4.8 Nope. There are so many people in America that have a distorted viewof God and themselves. "Learning to be Honest with God" seriously? God is a consuming fire according to scripture. He knows EVERYTHING!! We are incapable of being anything but honest with him. We are stripped bare and naked before him. He knows us at the cellular level.
Jesus gives us the example of weeping. Why do you think that is?
@@estherfleece1276 Jesus wept because he was human. Scripture does not say why he wept over Jerusalem or at Lazarus' tomb. What I won't do is conjecture why and then create doctrine from it. The Bible is about God and his redemptive plan for his sheep. It is not about all these different ways that we can see ourselves.
@@donaldnederman it would benefit you to read the book before you criticize it, sir. No one here is creating doctrine. Romans 16:17
