    Really nice sounds coming from the amp. And what a bonus to hear from you on the vocals side of things! Nice warm voice to match up with the warm Taylor guitar and amp.

    I've used a Fishman Loudbox Mini for years. Great sound lots of power at 60 watts for smaller venues like a coffee house. But my latest acquisition is a built in Italy designed in Switzerland Schertler SR jam 150 that I think blows the Fishman out of the water. A beast of a acoustic amp. 8 inch woofer, two 2 inch tweeters and a 4 inch mids driver, DI out to house, 2 xlr, line channels for vocals or instruments and input for recorded music but no Bluetooth. Has a quality multi channel mixer with effects builtin, phantom power, groundlift switch and housed in a beautiful stained wood furniture quality cabinet that can be pole mounted if required. This particular unit is a one owner 10 years old amp and is a beast at around 25 lbs.

    This was the BEST demo of this amp I've seen. You did a great job. Loved your musical touch playing and nice singing! Cool tune. Thank you. PA: that was one of the richer warmer sounding Taylor's I've heard. What model was that?

      Thanks for watching! This guitar in this video is the 514ce. So it’s the Sitka Spruce Top, and Urban Ironbark Back and Sides. Definitely provides a more bold rich sound.

    I think it’s a nice start for Taylor on the amp front. I would like to see Taylor expand the range with different exterior options like a nice looking material covering for the cabinet. Please, no browns. I hate that acoustic amps usually end up covered in brown. I’m thinking it would be nice to see something that would compete with the Fishman battery powered systems, Bose S1 Pro and the likes of the EV Everse 8 and their new Everse 12 battery powered systems. It is a blessing to have battery powered amps and PA speakers.

      They made an ebony version that came exclusively with a custom ebony guitar last year. It looked stunning, but as you said “brown” or in that case a “black/brown”. Would be killer to see the amps stained with the colors they use on some of their limited models.

    No one has any review if I want to use acoustic guitar without pick up with microphone and singing? Should I use PA or acoustic amp and which one for very small group of people?

    • @tarpley-music
      @tarpley-music  Месяц назад

      I would suggest using a PA in that situation. It will give you more control, and you will be able to spread the sound out without necessarily getting louder. It usually gives you more ability to deal with feedback as well. Thanks for the question!

    Can you demo it with an LR Baggs anthem pickup?

    • @tarpley-music
      @tarpley-music  5 месяцев назад

      Obviously, it was sensible to record a Taylor amp using a Taylor guitar, but we're willing to experiment with different guitars through the amp in another video. We have several guitars at our studio equipped with the LR Baggs Hi-Fi system, though we'll need to check which ones have the Anthem system.

    I like the look and the tone is good...but the price is too high. More than likely the Taylor name causes the higher cost. I listened to a blind test with the Taylor, Boss acoustic, and Fender acoustic amp. The poster played a Taylor and then a Martin. To me the Boss won out and the Fender wasn't even no where near as good as the Boss or Taylor. I imagine it's somewhat subjective on what sounds good to different people...but most liked the Boss. At $400 less I would choose the Boss...but the Taylor is really good and looks the best to me...very classy retro look I think.

    $1300. 150W? For acoustic and 1 vocal? This should have been battery amp, like Bose S1 Pro's, which rock! S1 Pro runs for 10 hours and never ran out of power and cranks!

    Hi there James, looks dam good, but still nothing new, no innovations, probably the well used EQ circuit, sounds pretty normal to me. The reason I say this is I have spent the last 5years developing acoustic guitar circuits❤
