    One of my favorite Bible passages talks about how we can share the comfort that God give us during difficult times with others we meet who are suffering too (2 Cor 1). I see that basic principle here in your video: Taking a struggle and sharing the good you found during it to encourage others.
    So, thanks for sharing this. Glad you're healing and praying for a full recovery.

    I had that a few years ago, my doctor put me on cortisone and 1 other pill, I forget what for 3 or 4 weeks and in 6 weeks it was completely gone, I had it bad too. It was hard to eat, always biting the lip, the bad part is you can still feel the pain of the bite, just no control! I love your music!

    I often wonder how people with visible maladies feel about other people noticing them. Many of us have had awful pimples, cold sores etc but they are often temporary. I believe the attention we get from others is largely innocent with our brains naturally curious about the differences they see between people. I hope that folks out there who suffer from physical conditions and are concerned about their appearance realise that most people (I can't speak for others but I can hope) have no sense of fear or disgust and are only curious or attempting to do right in the circumstances (e.g. when someone has only 1 working eye, it might take me a moment to figure out which one to look at when I talk to them).
    Also, my dad had Bell's palsy too! You'll be fine Spencer! Everything that happens shapes who you are and I'm glad that you've shared this.

My auntie Annie got bells palsey as a kid & it returned again in her late 50's. She's in her 70s now & seem OK again. Her face dropped & effected one of her eyes on that one side. Glad your ok again man to keep creating

    Im glad its much much improved and the song is an excellent piece of music. I lost my son to the big C when he was 6 years old, the worst day of my life. he would be 33 years old now. I was bitter for a long time but I pushed through it. I left my job as an engineer and studied and re trained as a nurse. Over the last 26 years I have helped a lot of people some who have been through scenarios like mine. I retired at Christmas. I have 2 healthy bright teenage daughters a great wife and I'm still making music and playing guitar(49+) years. You can get through anything you just have to stop whatever it is consuming you.
    wishing everyone here good health and happiness.

    Very Beatle esque song in the best of ways. And yes - bad times makes for some of the best pieces of art. When you have a creative soul your art is one of the best ways to handle and come to terms with what is or has happened. In my personal experience at least ;-).

    What a great song, I guess that is the whole point of music, expressing something, telling a story, or just for casual entertainment. I like to look at music like I do with games (which I also consider a form of art), you have the competitive and casual games which don't necessarily tell a story (not always a bad thing), they're usually like a stress reliever, like CSGO, Valorant, etc. And there's the games that tell a story, like Hotline Miami, Undertale, and many others. Anyways, I think the really cool thing about art is that everyone experiences it differently. This song was really good, and the lyrics carry such weight. I may not be the man with a broken face, but it still hits hard.

  • @DeliciousMorsels

    Great song, and thanks for sharing the story! Man, 2019 sucked. My year began with my then wife and I splitting up which eventually resulted in divorce. It was a hard reset for me that I wasn't anticipating, but through it all I shifted my focus heavily into my music to get me through.
    Around the time I had just discovered bands like Nightwish and Delain and went way down the symphonic metal rabbit hole which gave me so much inspiration during that difficult time and resulted in some of the best songs I'd written to date. I'm definitely thankful I had the ability to channel everything into something creative during that time.

      Thanks for watching! Yeah, these things are just random it seems. Someone I went to school with woke up with similar symptoms, went to the hospital and found out he had an inoperable brain tumor. He passed away less than a year later. It's scary, ya just gotta keep on keepin' on.

    • @ZooPact
      @ZooPact Год назад

      @@songsbyspencer what! I mean with what you're saying it makes sense, having a tumor in the brain can most definitely cause something like partial paralysis, or any number of random or disruptive side effects. But man... I'm sorry to hear that. Did you also get a CT scan and make sure you don't have nothing funny going on up there? I mean I guess if your symptoms lessened then you got your answer, but sheesh... Oddy enough a young girl from my town (mid 20s) recently passed away suddenly from a brain aneurysm. So you do in fact have to keep keepin' on because life is so finite.

    This happened to my sister about 40 years ago. She ended up making a full recovery, but it took over a year. I seem to remember the doctors saying it takes so long because the sheath that some nerves run through has to completely die and regrow. I also worked with a guy who had it too. In time he too made a full recovery with the exception of the eyelid. He had to manually blink it with his finger periodically. I'm sorry this happened to you. You made a wonderful song out of this experience. Your attitude is spot on. Unfortunately for me, I don't have such a good attitude but I continually work on improving it. It helps having good examples such as yourself to serve as inspiration. Otherwise I think I would give up trying. Thank you!
