GSMDome.com unboxes the ASUS ROG Phone 6D Ultimate, a new version of the ASUS ROG Phone 6 Pro. It replaces the Snapdragon CPU with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ and also uses 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. There's a 6000 mAh battery here with 65W charging, dual stereo speakers, two USB-C ports and 5G connectivity, as well as Wi-Fi 6E. There's also an AMOLED 6.78 inch screen on board with 165 Hz refresh rate, a 50 MP main camera, 13 MP ultrawide camera and 5 MP Macro shooter. Finally a secondary 2 inch screen is placed at the back and the device also gets an AeroActive Cooler 6 bundled. Priced at around $1200.

The battery life is insane, the Dimensity 9000+ had 67% more time in Genshin (5h) and COD (9-10h) compared to the Gen 1+, it performed way better.
I am expecting a lot of future smartphones with Mediatek chipsets instead of Qualcomm. I think they did well in the flagship as well.

This dude is paid to make the Dimensity 9000+ look better. In the screenshots it can be seen that he ran GFXBench, Geekbench and 3DMark, but he refrains from showing them, since he’s aware that 8+ Gen 1 sports much better GPU performance (literally what is important for gaming). It shouldn’t have been the 6D Ultimate to have the Dimensity. It should’ve been the Pro. It’s an inferior chipset for gaming.

Ngl at first i thought that the snapdragon is far more superior to all. But after a year alot of deadboots occuring on asus rog models from 2 to 8 pro. But not even a single one on mediatek 6d one.
@@namelessn6515 Far fewer people buy Dimensity version, and those who do are often more mindful and careful with their phone’s usage. The Snapdragon users stress their phones in hot environments almost all day long, causing the eventual premature failure of the chip since it means it runs at 95-100 degrees Celsius internally pretty much all the time. That’s why the Dimensity has a null fail rate here.
