    Soccer in the us is bad not because there isn’t any talent but because it’s a rich kid sport. Literally to join a team you have to pay around 500 and even more if it’s a well known club. Most colleges in the us who have soccer teams in the US are private school and they’re very expensive to attend even with scholarships!

    • @slumboywit
      @slumboywit 6 лет назад +112

I was still gonna have to find a way to pay 7k a year. I just ended up going to Community College and now I’m at university but they don’t offer soccer for men because it’s not a private university.

    Stanford looks good and they were playing quality teams while they were there. Keep in mind the elite clubs would be Stanford quite handily - that not said with any disrespect; rather that the best academy players are another level above in skills and thinking on the field. To put in perspective these results here are the facts I have collected
    -Stanford were without their five best players whom were seniors in college, one of whom was the second overall pick in the MLS draft that year his name is Tomas Hilliard Arce and he currently plays for the LA Galaxy
    -This was a rebuilding year in theory and they were playing with some players whom did not play much that previous fall if at any
    - only two of the of 26 players in Stanford side for that upcoming season were from outside of the United States one from London and the other from Madrid, they were both goalkeepers
    -Amir Bashti the player the scored a majority of the goals in this video only started 6 games that previous season out of 23 games. He did appear in all those games though scoring 6 goals that season. He was drafted with the 48th pick (last pick in second round) in the MLS draft in 2019 but was not given a contract and is without a club currently. The reason for this is unknown
    -The Fulham side was the u20 side. There is a tweet noted by Stanford men’s soccer confirming it was the u20 side as well as tweet from Fulham confirming it was the u20 side
    -They were confirmed to play u23 qpr side on March 27 2018
    What is not known fact
    - what the age of the sideBradford city put out
    -Stanford soccer was not as good in the 2018 season as previous years
    Now with this information make an educated opinion on Stanford men’s soccer

    With all the comments saying you need money to get here, you don’t! Most states offer scholarships for youth soccer. Even if you don’t get a scholarship you can still play at school with friends and on your own. If you have about 300 dollars your whole soccer career you could make a top college team. 100 dollars for equipment and 200 for a showcase. Hard work can beat out anything and if your struggling with money and keep telling yourself this, you don’t have a chance. I believe in all of you, good luck.

    How are there no black players in this team?

    • @Kareem_Alcindor
      @Kareem_Alcindor 5 лет назад +4

      The only minorities that are well represented in American Elite Universities would be Asians (South Asians included , e.g : Students of Indian descent). The most selective colleges enroll more students from the top one percent of the income distribution than from the entire bottom half. While black and Hispanic students are far more likely to be poor than any other students, a majority of poor students who apply to elite colleges are neither black nor Hispanic. Heck, one of the dude in the team has a house in London. What are the probabilities of that happening, first in general and second for a member of the team who happens to be of color ? 😂😊

      Kareem Alcindor I’m trying to understand what ur saying, but u started taking about one thing and then went to another point with no transition

    • @Kareem_Alcindor
      @Kareem_Alcindor 5 лет назад

      @@user-qd4he8jz9t Where did you get lost ? The transitional point was from the fact that elite colleges do not necessarily enroll from poor students, Black and Hispanic are more likely to be poor but even within that demographics, a majority of poor students who apply to elite colleges are neither black nor Hispanic, hence the rarity of finding an African American playing for that team.
