they didn’t tell me but it wasn’t the cheapest one. I'm trying to remove the screen from the phone and replace it at home, but I can't get it out. I tried heating the screen corners with a hair dryer and that didn't work either. Is there an easy way to remove the screen from the case? It's really difficult compared to devices I've replaced parts with before. Is there anything else I should be careful about to avoid damaging Face ID, for example
Im a total noob at repairs but the shop straightup warned me that the 12 series is crazy hard to get the screen off. like they said there’s a legit chance they could crack it. I was kinda sus, like, why are they even telling me this? but turns out it’s actually true
I just had my 12 mini battery replaced. It was down to 78%. They also replaced the screen for free as it had some minor cracks in the upper left corner. It’s like a brand new phone now. ❤
getting the screen replaced for free? awesome! it’s possible they damaged it while replacing the battery. My shop told me that’s quite common with the 12 series since the display is hard to remove. I’m not sure if it’s true but they warned me about that. anyways good for you. that’s a nice bonus! It must feel like a whole new phone now❤
true, the aftermarket battery itself costs 20 euros. they also offer cheap aliexpress batteries for 8 euros but I went for the more premium aftermarket battery
