The play might be to sell OCEAN and AGIX at a profit shortly before the merge and buy FET instead, because if the FET price stays below 3.5 before the merger, you lose out on money or if your OCEAN and AGIX gain a lot of value before the merger, you also lose out on money. But in any way, you will need to buy FET before it becomes ASI.

Okay, so stupid question but I do hold most of my tokens and stuff on cold wallets, and if I got it right the conversion (on exchanges and so on) is going to happen automatically. So would it make sense to move the fetch and so on I have on my cold wallets to some exchange for a while or what? Seems like there isn´t too much information out regarding changing stuff manually if it´s sitting on cold wallets, so I don´t know what would make more sense right now.

If you hold fet in a private wallet they have a conversion tool that will be available indefinitely, so long term stakers can convert at their leisure no need to rush unstaking trying to get it to an exchange for conversion.

But I thought when the do merge it would add more tokens to you to add up to what you have. So if you have a 100 and when it changes over and it's only worth 50 tokens in the new token they bring your tokens up to add up to what you had. I guess I'm way off

You are correct however that was just a snapshot taken to assess what I spoke about here. They needed a running price for all 3 assets to work out what % and number of tokens they could offer each community in ASI as well as running the "FDV" market cap, etc. If that makes sense Paul? Great question! I could be wrong, but the way it reads isn't clear however it reads as a "snapshot".
