I feel so bad for the other female CEO, its so true what she said. Asian racism is so normalised these days.
It’s only because of misinformation about the COVID-19.
Not all of America is closed-minded.
Please everyone, don’t think we’re all racist.
It exists everywhere, not just America.
We’re actually a country full of nice people as well.
Asian racism has been normalized since 1800s when Asians first moved to America, people are just now more comfortable with being openly hostile and upfront again

sunday fanatic sunday fanatic Asian Americans have been discriminated against in Exclusion laws (Chinese Exclusion Act). Put into internment camps (Japanese in the 1940s). Killed for being Asian (Vincent Chin’s murderers only served 3 years of probation). Discrimination isn’t new. It’s written in the history of the country. If you ask any Asian American person “these days” if they have experienced racism, they will answer yes 100%.

when she first started talking about racism in the states it hit close to home, asian racism is so normalized that no one ever thinks were serious when we call it out. I wouldn’t give up being asian for anything but it is disappointing to see.

They went to Rocco Steakhouse, they got a good Yelp review and man that place is EXPENSIVE!! 😮😮

for real -- i'm not surprised their bill totaled to more than $400. especially since they got multiple steaks. it's still ridiculous though.

Discrimination is everywhere but when you have an title, more less discrimination you will get.
ironic that they talk and emphasize with discrimination when against their own, yet still on some k-shows you can see how they don't care to acknowledge discrimination against black people and overall just people that don't fit within their "standards"
This isn't bashing on this show or the people on the show, but it's just pointing out the irony that while they feel discriminated against in NY/America, Korea also discriminates against others as well.

most people only feel discrimination when they are against themselves, not when they do it for others. I am Brazilian, my country is known for being mixed and happy with any type of person, we have the largest Japanese colony outside of Japan and a sad history of African slaves, indigenous people who already lived here and Portuguese who exploited all of this. in every part of Brazil we have different cultures that are present because of our history (in the south there is a lot of German culture, in the northeast the African and etc.), but there is still racism in all facets and xenophobia (there is a lot xenophobia here against Asians, but the "majority" does it thinking that it is a joke, since they are really preconceptions and veiled racist things) and even with ourselves (people from other areas tend to decriminalize others for the part of the country where they live and the mode of culture that is broadest there). we suffer discrimination in other countries, but we also discriminate and this is very sad, because of that we are gradually deconstructing and building a greater awareness. Korea, on the other hand, was practically a closed and very conservative country, they did NOT HAVE this whole issue in their country (just that of fatophobia, so to speak), but now they are having and will have to work to get it out, even more so being global eyes now
Southeast Asia countries are discriminated against by a lot of Korean. They are always showing off their country's GDP and their height average. If they said you looked like coming from any Southeast Asia countries, that's mean you look ugly. That's the fact. But then when I said about Westerners discriminated against them too, they just ignored or they said they showed respect to the rich countries and tried to learn from them. It shows how sarcastic they are, they make themselves look so small and approve for discrimination. They should deserve what they should get in order to realize the fact.
You're grouping them all as one. It is not ironic, because they do not represent Korea. Of course there's going to be some people who are racism and some who are not. It's like you're saying "its ironic how you're not racist, but a person in your class is.". The two don't relate. One or two people do not represent a whole country's culture.
I get that you aren't trying to bash anyone, but the comment still comes across as insensitive, since ironic has a negative connotation.

I am from Indonesia, so my skin is tanned, not white like Chinese people. But when I walked on the street in Germany and other European countries, people there scream Ni Hao (it’s hello in Chinese) or Konnichiwa (it’s hello in Japanese), then laughing in the back. Surprising enough for me because there are actually a lot of uneducated European. They only think there are 2 countries in Asia: China and Japan. After Covid 19, it is more severe. Whenever you pass by, they will scream corona!!!

He gas no manners and no consideration for others. He deliberately eats fast to eat more. That is my answer to " why not?" If they were each served their portion, that eliminates greed.

Those German potatoes look more like what I'd eat with steak... Not really the French fries.... But you can eat so much and get such good food in NYC for less than 100 dollars... Or even have a really nice meal for 3 for 100 dollars... I mean that meal was too much...

Depends how the menu is set up. Some steak restaurant, steaks come with a choice of sides like potatoes( fried, baked, mashed), vegetables (carrots, peas, broccoli, creamed spinach) and/or soup and some don't. Green leafy salads are separate orders. If it were me, I wouldn't order salad in a steak restaurant. I'd eat my salads when I'm home after indulging in a steak dinner at an expensive restaurant. I looked this restaurant's menu and everything is ordered separately, salads, steaks, sides.

American portion sizes are out of control and crazy large compared to the rest of the world. So a lot of people new to the States make the mistake of ordering too much because they don't think it'll be enough. a lot of east asian countries, side dishes are included along with the main dish free of charge compared to the US where it is just an add on. Plus it sounds like the waitress guy pressured them to order more side dishes lol.
So they wasted food? Good.
