Jim Henry Gary’s right, the cam and heads on his engine are light years ahead of what they would have even dreamed of in 1976. Even with 600 cubes old school heads and a solid cam with lots of lash probably only made 600-700 and I still might be blowing it outta proportion there
Yes, german cars are more refined, yes, japanese cars are throughouly thought through, yes, korean cars are reliable, but over all the years, I come to the conclusion that american cars are the best. period.
what a beautiful sound that big V8 makes
First saw Greenwood's vette at Sebring 1975 and the Daytona 24 hrs. Nice to hear that sound again. Tks for posting.
This shows that a C3 looks good no matter what you do to it..and looks great. It has a timeless body style.
What a WONDERFUL car !!!!!!
this was one of the coolest cars around.
Gotta love that solid roller American sound
My dad won in that cars sister car at Talladega RC 1974...When it didnt have problems..It was unbeatable!
What a sound!!!! V8 Muscle Machine!
Easily producing 130 dba and permanent ear damage: love.
This car is a true American Icon.Get some it's good.
Love it! I had a 75' vette.... t-top.. but then my wife had a child ..had to sell the Vette/not the child.
that vette is so fucken bad ass daaaaaammmmm!!
..it has the death sentence on 12 systems.
Sounds like a radial-engine airplane starting up!

I love it!!! I have a Greenwood Streetcar, it look's close to this! ;)
@ratematrix haha U ever try driving a '70s Le Mans 427 full race spec car? Not easy haha
God bless. America.
Aahhh , real music !!
600 cubic inch 1000hp
John would come down the straight and turn his Vette sideways just to watch the crowd back up............
There's a theory that a man's car is like an extension of his penis. Now i'm not to sure where i'm going with this, but Ron Jeremy springs to mind.
That was by far the best comment I've ever seen on RUclips.
+AESCULAPTORmark3 doubtful, because i like my cars small, lightweight, & fast as hell.
LeMans???? I've seen footage of this car at the Sebring? I'm a little lost.
I think there was a car for both races, almost identical. I was just reading something about it.
Must be 'Spirit of Le Mans 76'.......
Yes that’s a Carrera GT parked in the street
@Funnyman87...Yep. old, cold tires and a Carerra GT RIGHT in front of you will make for a quick turn.
Get you some of that Ferrari. Real car , not some MG with 20 dollars in chrome.
I doubt 750 hp .my 509 race motor made 763 hp .ported brodix 2+ heads,13.5 compression, big cam 284/294 at .050.the best of parts engine .
gary mathews In this spec the car pushed much closer to 1000hp. Although it was a 600cui

@@fsca72 Factory L-88s made well over 500hp and were not at all intractable. How much hp does it take to push this batmobile 230 mph? An F-ing lot.

@ratematrix are you joking? anyone who can drive this car is fucking good with a stiff clutch
I was joking with the OP...That's me IN the car.
I learned how to drive stick on a 5 speed with no reverse lockout and a competition clutch. I might have a fighting chance.
Its 540 cui according to this guy: ruclips.net/video/oq1S8UNYftQ/видео.html
cuntos hp 700
Actually sounds painful haha
That is highly a matter of opinion. I'll respect it, but I won't agree with it.
Must be the "Stars and Flags," Didn't WIN ANYTHING! SO... l
Wow, that guy doesn't know how to drive that thing ;)
