Not to mention I've never seen or heard about an employee while in the clock lie and say they don't work there, why would they that's as far from making sense that anything can possibly get. Only time I ever whistled, or snapped my fingers to get an employee's attention was when I was not well and unable to speak. I was trying to find cough medicine and cough drops to help my sore throat. Fortunately, the guy was very understanding when he realized I was struggling to talk and I wrote my question on a note pad. Medicine and rest, I got better. The fact that she even admits to acting like she did in a fit of rage should make anger management classes mandatory for offenders in situations like this.
It's even funnier because why does she even care that much? If they WERE an employee why does it bother them so much? Maybe they were on break and wanted to help a little before sitting down again for example. Why does OP HAVE to be the one to help her when she already had someone there to serve her? Also just about everywhere has cameras these days, why did she think she could literally just make up assault charges like that?
Ah, but Opie had a _friendly conversation_ with the employee. To those beneath her, Karen only gives orders. The only other modes of communication she has are one-upping her peers and sucking up to her superiors. Yes, that is exactly as crude as it sounds, but that seems to be the level of emotional and social maturity Karens are at.
I hate that the manager in story 3 asked that they "act more professionally because they reflect the restaurant". First of all, once I'm clocked out, I don't work there until my next shift. Unless they are getting paid to be "professional" outside of work hours, OP can do what they want and if that means telling off a Karen that is harassing them and their friends, so be it. I'm sick and tired of this idea that you have to be "professional" outside of work hours, especially when you're in the privacy of your own home or just hanging out with friends. As long as crimes aren't being committed, people can spend their free time how they want.
Even when during work hours, if I'm on my break, you have no right to my time. Especially if I'm not even at the place I work at. I wouldn't expect a host or hostess to be "acting professionally" on their break at the nearby McDonald's.

I'd bet some serious money Hero Girl had been on the bad side of a Karen's demands at some point, and had thought of ALL the responses she wanted to use (if she didn't have to care about keeping a job) and had them ready to roll as soon as MK started his nonsense. That was pretty funny.
Ciaran (Scottish Gaelic spelling) or Ciarán (Irish spelling) is a traditional male name that means "little dark one" or "little dark-haired one". It’s pronounced the same way you would say Kieran. Gaelic names can be difficult to pronounce if you don’t speak it or if it’s unusual for someone to have a Gaelic name, eg Caoimhe is pronounced Kee-va, Aodh is pronounced Ay like in day.

Second story setup: Melody: "Hit The Road, Jack", snap your fingers to the rhythm and sing: " Hit the road , Karen, don't return to this store no more, no more, no more, no more, hit the road Karen, don't bother employees no more . . ."
Karen : Snaps finger @ employee. Random person : Does it back @ Karen. Karen : OMG HE ASSAULTED ME! HELP! HELP! Random person : You did it first Karen. It was self defence. EDIT : Whenever pointed/jabbed me right in my body with a finger, that finger often suddenly bent in unnatural and painfull ways. Often followed up by a knee in the privates or a hard punch just under the ribs for self defence.

As for Karens arguing accusing non-employees of lying when they tell them they don't work there. Some people, and Karens seem to be especially prone to this, simply cannot deal with the concept that they made a mistake. These are the people who, in a tech support context, will swear that it's the computer, not them, that forgot their password.
Omg I HATE people who snap their fingers at employees! It happened to me all the time when I worked in a bakery in a large big box store. The table where I decorated cakes was set a bit far back from the counter where customers stand. A lot of them would snap their fingers at me and yell "HELLOOOOO!" Then there were the whistlers. They would whistle to get my attention the same way you'd whistle at a dog to get it to come to you. I am NOT your dog, I'm not answering your whistle.
Over on this side of the world, calling out "SHOP" with a raised voice (not shouting) while you're waiting at the counter seems to be at least acceptable, if not amusing.
Even if an person DID work at a business, have these Karen's NEVER heard of the concepts of breaks? Legally, they can't serves someone while on break. It's not uncommon for employees to take their break on premises, smh
I've been asked several times for help in stores here in Finland, and never ever has that person started to complain when I was kot an employee. All of them just apologize and move on. What is wrong with these people 🤔
I hate that OP 3's manager told them to "act a bit more professionally" in dealing with the Karen. That's basically the workplace equivalent of "be the bigger person" if you ask me, and it reminds me that employees should be protected from retaliation if they stand up for themselves when being harassed.
This is the best r/IDon'tWorkHereLady that I have read/listened to, and I have listened to a lot of them. Two unKarens trying to get each other to do their job! ROFLOL!!!

For me, my berserk button is being interrupted. Most people I'll give the benefit of the doubt, but do that more than twice and I'm gonna start to rage. It's hard enough for me to speak, being an introvert, and interrupting me isn't helping my case.
Finger snapping is only OK if you're in a production of West Side Story and playing one of the sharks or the Jets. And Dogbert Clue for the Clueless: Never EVER ask someone "Do you think I"m that stupid?" This question always answers itself, and the answer is always YES.
Store cameras more than pay for themselves. It takes 1-2 days for a bruise to turn purple. Before that, the skin is a red color. It only turns purple as the blood loses its oxygen content, and that takes time. If someone with a bruise claims that they were recently attacked, they are lying.
I just had an "I don't work here" story. I went to a blue/white thrift store and as I was meandering through the aisles I had a lady run her cart in front of me and asked about something. I must have given her a quizzical look because she asks 'you don't know?'....I said 'no, I don't work here.' I then pointed to an employee with a trolley behind her, and said maybe they can help you, turned around and walked away. I should note I wasn't wearing a vest, didn't have a name tag, and I had a shopping cart of my own.
I’m curious has anyone who actually DOES work somewhere say that they don’t? Because the amount of times people refuse to believe when someone says “I don’t work here” is astounding.
My husband goes to the same gas station every morning and gets his coffee before work. He refills the sugars, creamer and will even start another pot if they are busy. Ppl and their entitlement., If I say I don't work here just walk away simple as that. I've mistaken ppl for employees we laugh and go on our separate ways..good grief ppl are just ughh
Last/Titular story: Somehow I wish it had come out that when she whined that it wasn't her order that OP would have managed "No, because that's my order, that I ordered ahead of you", then her being made to wait (or booted out) while they replaced the drink she threw out. I HATE that she got her order made before replacing the one she trashed. But this DOES make a better story, LOL!
Verbal and physical harassment charges makes sense (for spitting tea and stuff), but they also could’ve included filing a false police report since Karen lied to the cops and said OP comitted crimes that didn’t actually happen.
I have only snapped my fingers at an employee once. I just had throat surgery, and I was in a restaurant where I was seated at the far end of the non-smoking section. The server for the section brought my tea and meal and promptly disappeared. I was ready to pay but no sign of the server, this place you paid your server, and no one else to call for assistance. So, I snapped my fingers, twice lightly. No response, so I snapped a little harder the second time, still no response so I snapped, four times, even harder the third time, that FINALLY brought her over. They all had left for a ciggy break and told NO one, they were out for over 30 minutes! I was beyond pissed, everyone else was, too. I've never had to snap at anyone before or since.
Evert time they say "Do you think I'm stupid?" I'm always waiting for them to say" Yes, as a matter of fact, I do".
Or: "It didn't cross my mind before, but now that you say it, you just ruled out every other possible conclusion..."
If they asked me that I’d def reply in that fashion 🤣
My go to is "I'm starting too"
"Ma'am, I'm not your psychiatrist. I'm not qualified to diagnose your mental problems."
My reply would be, “No but you just confirmed it.”

I will never understand how people from the US keep thinking their laws are universal when they don't even get their shit together enough to have uniform laws in their own country...
My husband used to snap his fingers when he wanted me to do something. I told him he could stop that stupidity or I would cut his fingers off and flush them down the commode! He got the message fast!
The only time you should ever snap at anything is if you're calling over your pet.
Heck I don’t need to do that to my poochs they come when called
I don't even ever snap any pet! They're better than this shyte!
An exception: if you're dancing to "Jump in the Line (Shake Senora)".
Or if your name is Winona Ryder or Harry Belafonte.
I can't snap, but if I could I would snap along to the Addams Family theme song.
Or if you're singing _Wake me up before you go-go_ 😂
I'd bet some serious money Hero Girl had been on the bad side of a Karen's demands at some point, and had thought of ALL the responses she wanted to use (if she didn't have to care about keeping a job) and had them ready to roll as soon as MK started his nonsense. That was pretty funny.
Love hero girl in story 1. Love "I don't work here lady" stories by fluff! ❤️
Neither do I. 😤
@@Emsev100 What?!
Karens are so nonsensical, even their own logic doesn’t work on them and confuses them. How funny and sad for them.
Security cameras are Karens worst enemy and getting banned from a store or restaurant is their worst nightmare
hello Lucifer Morningstar here. I am opening a new circle of hell for all karens and would like ideas for the hell loop. any ideas will be tried
Thanks, I scrolled into the comments looking to see if anyone else had mentioned it.
A shop is a place where you exchange money for stuff, not your personal kingdom
LOL Story 3, "she flipped me off(which is a sign of affection)", I'm a military vet and that is THE MOST vet thing a civilian can say, we do that too. Want to show love to a fellow vet, flip them off LOL.
Often followed up by a knee in the privates or a hard punch just under the ribs for self defence.
one was poking me in chest
i said stop that it is rude and there will be consequences. she did not and the consequence was me poking her in the eye
So help me, if someone spit on me on purpose, thinking there would be no reprocussions, they'd be leaving with a damn concussion.
Or much worse.
I don't care what you think, never, *EVER* snap your fingers!
Love the story about the high school girl giving it back to the rude man, absolutely great.
Karen "Do you think I'm stupid?" Me "You have to ask? I would say no, but you're not giving me much choice..."
Story 2, go op!! You rock, she deserved to have a taste of her own medicine
Last story, I love it when Karens are all smug til their proved wrong and don't get their and/ or in trouble. I wouldn't be surprised if the Karen tried to go to op's store to get him fired but instead gets kicked out.
a karen was shouting at a cashier about 17yo the manager came up and shouted at her YOU NEVER TALK TO MEMBERS OF MY STAFF LIKE THAT YOU ARE BANNED FROM THIS STORE FOR LIFE, LEAVE NOW.
karen is shock said what about the customer is always right
manager said your banned your not a customer leave now or leave in police car
i said to cashier you have the best manager in retail
she smiled and said
thats my Dad
i peed myself laffing
Story 1 was the best I hear EVER! This is the best way to handle a Karen! I am still laughing.
When Mistu joked about Rats being a Safety Violation, OP should have said "Squeak, Squeak" as he flipped her off...
😄😁😆😅😂🤣
Store 1, you gotta admit this is hilarious
Anyone, I mean ANYONE, who has invaded someone else's space deliberately, should be warned that they might be hitchhiking to HELL if they don't back off.
LOL! i worked at a hospital as a clerk in the xray dept. one day i'm filing (it was a long time ago) and a patient whistles and snaps his fingers at me. i run like looney and i barked at him.
Or that it's YOUR fault they got a virus, not their own stupidity.
I work retail. A guy got kicked out of the store for whistling at me. Sexual harassment is not tolerated where I work.
When I worked as a sales person at Macy's,many years ago , whenever someone would snap at me I would walk slowly back to the register. 🤣😂😆😁
Omg that first story was THE BEST thing I’ve heard EVER!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Even if an person DID work at a business, have these Karen's NEVER heard of the concepts of breaks? Legally, they can't serves someone while on break. It's not uncommon for employees to take their break on premises, smh
CCTV Cameras--the bane of Karens.
17:31 It was at that moment, Karen knew... she done effed up.
Green tea with mint and a pinch of justice absolutely delicious 🤤
I've been asked several times for help in stores here in Finland, and never ever has that person started to complain when I was kot an employee. All of them just apologize and move on. What is wrong with these people 🤔
Story 2: Lady by your logic you are an employee.
I hate that OP 3's manager told them to "act a bit more professionally" in dealing with the Karen. That's basically the workplace equivalent of "be the bigger person" if you ask me, and it reminds me that employees should be protected from retaliation if they stand up for themselves when being harassed.
I work retail but when someone snaps there fingers I just ignore it.
"Do you think I'm stupid?"
" Yes and so far you've proven me right"
This is the best r/IDon'tWorkHereLady that I have read/listened to, and I have listened to a lot of them. Two unKarens trying to get each other to do their job! ROFLOL!!!
Mirroring a Karen is probably the best defense against one.
First story with HG - that young lady was amazing. Well deserving of a round of applause! Wouldn’t be surprised if she’s running the country soon (tho’ she probably has far too much honesty!).
Bravo HG, you are amazing and a great example for younger ladies to emulate!
For me, my berserk button is being interrupted. Most people I'll give the benefit of the doubt, but do that more than twice and I'm gonna start to rage. It's hard enough for me to speak, being an introvert, and interrupting me isn't helping my case.
That first story has got to be the funniest I don’t work here story! Thank you
KAREN is obviously an acronym for Kaptivating and Ridiculously Entertaining Numpty ! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣❤️
That store has a snapper, ugh. My store has a whistler.
Additional charge on the last story, filing a false police report. If she intentionally tried to file a report of assault, yeah, that's a crime.
Was people on break saying they don't work somewhere a thing for a while? Because that seems to be what a lot of karens hear.
What has to break in a person's brain to make them think it's a good idea to *fk with the people who are making your food* ?
Funny thing. Ciaran is actually pronounced with a hard C. Like “Kee-run” - not exactly, but pretty close to “Karen.” 😂
Thanks. I was going to mention that also.
The snapping thing happens all the time I work as a bartender/waitress and some people click at me. They get ignored.
Second story alt title: Karen makes a customer snap.
Quite literally.
That must have been one hell of a show to watch
That male Karen story was pure gold. I would've watched with them.
There needs to be Karen jails, where all Karens get to spend their lives attacking each other.
If this ever happens to me, God forbid, I would just smile and point at the nearest camera.
19:27 And it was at this moment she realized she done fudged up
I’m curious has anyone who actually DOES work somewhere say that they don’t? Because the amount of times people refuse to believe when someone says “I don’t work here” is astounding.
Yes.
4:56 "Buy 'N Large"
Gotta love a WALL-E reference.
Why is it when people say, “do you think I’m stupid?” do these people not just say “yes!”
First story is incredible lmao and the Kevin never caught on
The snapping thing really is the worst. It's cruel and dehumanizing; anyone who does it is a terrible person.
Instantly tilts head to the side at the thought of boiling water for green tea.
A day without Fluff is boring. I don't work here stories are insane!
