I have to admin when I first saw the Frozen Star I thought it looked like TV static but when I saw it on video and found out it was osmium, oh wow. Amazing, probably the greatest dial I've ever seen. One material I think would be neat for a dial but probably wouldn't work without some changes would be bismuth. Crystallized bismuth is beautiful, rainbow of colors and strange square shapes. I don't know of anything else that crystallizes at 90 degree/ right angles.

Yes , myself , would never go for watch diameter bigger than -38mm, still my wrist measures hefty -7.5 inch respectively .
