48 hours in Bangkok, Thailand

We arrived in Bangkok after over 36 hours of travel from Ottawa, Canada.
We were picked up by car service and taken to our hotel, the Ramada Plaza Menam Riverside.
It didn’t take long to get settled and go for our traditional Hard Rock Cafe dinner, our 36th!!!!
then walk back to the hotel.
Knowing that we would be joining our Intreped Tours group in a day and a half we did some walking, shopping and took a TukTuk ride in the first morning before heading out in the evening to enjoy the Ferris Wheel at Asiatique.
On our last morning g fore the tour we walked to China Town and explored the many not so hidden secrets! We collected a GeoCache making Thailand our 57th country!
A Dim Sum lunch and we end our visit with our ‘One Night in Bangkok’ chess game!

Bangkok was once called the Venice of the East by many Westerners in the past. Unfortunately they filled most of canals up to make streets.
