I just clicked on this video SO fast bc I am absolute trash for BatB retellings lmao! ACSDAL was incredible and I'm really enjoying the ACOTAR series so far :)
I’m glad I’m not the only one who likes Beauty and the Beast. We will have to let each other know if we find any more. I know Ashley Poston has one coming out soon, so I’ll have to see if my library has it.
@@megansreadingrevelations I just read My Darling Duke by Stacy Reid which is a historical romance retelling of BatB and I really enjoyed it! Ended up giving it 4 stars :)

I have not read ACOTAR yet, but I keep thinking about picking it up. I know it is really loved and I need to read it for myself to see what all the hype is. Uprooted has been on my list to pick up for a while now, I have heard a lot of food things about it.
I like ACOTAR for what it is, and I read five Maas books before realizing she wasn't the author for me. I hope you like it!
I Love A Curse So Dark and Lonely & A Heart So Fierce And Broken And I’m So Excited That there’s going to be a third book 📖😍😍🙂👍🏻 And A recommendation I have is As Old As Time it’s a Twisted Tale Book from Disney and it’s a what if story: The tag line is “What If Belle’s Mother Cursed The Beast?” It Was So Good 😊

I actually just posted my own vid about my favorite B&B retellings the other day - though I must confess that I haven't read any of your five here. Didn't even realize that Hunted and Uprooted were B&B - but I should check them out. ACsDaL is high on my TBR, though, and you may have slid ACoTaR back on to my "I wanna read that" list. I've heard some negativity about SJM, so I've kinda steered cleared of her, but I've been intrigued by the mashup of B&B with Tam Lin, which is one of my favorite folk tales.
Anywho, fairy tales are awesome.

I need to buy Uprooted, because I got from the library last time. Of Beast and Beauty sounds like a cool retelling and I did put it on my "Want to Read" list on Goodreads. Loved Hunted. Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge was a cool retelling. Beauty is supposed to, I think, become the Beast's bride and kill him. The curse is interesting, because he's like a demon with a separate shadow self.

I loved Hunted! If you like creepy forest books I recommend crimson bond, it's also a little red riding hood retelling. The author write a beauty and the beast retelling to called Cruel beauty.

A Curse so Dark and Lonely is a lot of dun. Despite its length, Brigid Kemmerer's writing is very quick to read.
I am always looking for Beauty and the Beast retellings since BATB is my fave Disney movie (animation) . I have been meaning to pick up Uprooted for a while, also think I might check out Of Beast and Beauty. 🥀 😃

Hey I would like to tell you of another retelling of Beauty and the beast. The name of the book is "Rosalena" by the author Anne Provoost. It was inspired by the original Beauty and the Beast by Gianfresco Straparola. You said that you liked retellings of the story, so I thought Id mention it. Its darker and grittier though. Like a dark fairytale. "Thousandfurs" is a bit reminiscent of beauty and the beast, but its the woman thats considered ugly. Its a Grimms fairytale thats like a cross between Cinderella and Beaty and the beast.

I have read Cruel Beauty years ago. I liked the different twist on the tale, but it wasn't my favorite. Thanks for the recommendation!
